Considering that most of those stories are written by a bunch of guys trying to keep a specific community in line it's a bunch of stuff that should simply be taken with a grain of salt. Don't obsess over the word-per-word (especially something that we're reading outside of the original Hebrew/Aramaic/Sanscrit/Greek... which is what the stories were preserved in before they were preserved in Latin and then translated to the modern languages).

Have you ever heard a mediterranean joke translated into English? It loses 1/2 it's meaning and needs so much back story that it's not funny anymore.

Have you ever read Shakespeare in any language other than British English? It loses it's iambic pentameter...

Translations of the Bible/Torah/etc are THAT MUCH MORE warped in translation... The older the text, the less accurate the modernized translations...

Also... look up the "non-canonical gospels" of Steven, Mary, etc. Some interesting stuff that was clipped right out by some pope/Medici somewhere along the line...

It's not in the bible and I consider it unnecessary for that reason. Whether it is an allegorical setup designed to teach a spiritual lesson, not sure. Many non biblical books have useful moral lessons they teach you.

Lilith comes from the first “editions” of the Hebrew bible. Back during the Babylonian occupation of Israel, the Jewish religion was based on a series of entirely oral stories. When they were exiled from their homeland and they realized there was a very real possibility their religion would be forgotten with the next generation is when they began to write everything down. However, they had no origin stories for the creation of the universe so they borrowed inspiration from another religion that was popular at the time — the Babylonian pantheon. Lilith is mentioned in the Babylonian Talmud and she was adapted into the beginnings of the Hebrew bible as Adam’s first wife, another independent human made of the earth. She is still mentioned in some versions of the Hebrew bible but you won’t find her in any Christian bibles. Changing traditions, the claims of a messiah, as well as just things being lost in translation over the centuries have erased her from modern Christian stories for the most part. Her influence is still present in a lot of Christian media as she was and is still the first demon, unlike Lucifer/Satan who is the first fallen angel. Anyone who studies historical theology in historical context has seen the influence of Lilith in these original texts in their original language.

Isaiah was written when the northern kingdom of Israel was being attacked by the Assyrian empire. The Assyrians had their own false gods. Your Lilith comes from that cultural group the Assyrians and Babylonians who describe Lilith in the Epic of Gilgamesh. In Isiah it is Lylyt, which you could compare to the Babylonian Epic, with similarities with night and running to the desert. It's not until later in Rabbinic Judaism (those who refused to accept the Messiah) where you start to see Lilith described by Jews in the Talmud, Zohar, etc. which are considered false teachings. More importantly you should take what is said in Isaiah in context because he was speaking about God's judgment against all nations and their armies and his commitment to righteousness and justice concerning those who defy the will of God. So those who were invading Israel, will be judged harshly... What's left of the land will be turned into blazing pitch and sulfur consumed with smoke and desolate generation after generation. So basically hell. That's were your Lylyt is trapped forever.

So knowing all of that, you know who Isaiah was talking to in his ministry. He was letting the Assyrians know their fate...

Originally, Mesopotamian folklore. Back in the Babylonian days, "lillith" wasn't an individual name, but a class or category of demon that pregnant women and newborns. They actually ARE mentioned in the Bible, but only once, and in passing (Isiah 34:14).

The transition from a background being in a neighboring culture's mythology to part of semi-obscure Jewish mysticism dates, like a lot of weird tidbits of Israelite Jewish culture, from the middle ages. No one's really sure why; my theory is that they caught wind of Khazaria and Beta Israel and a push for cultural homogenization began.

She is a fabrication from fantasy novels. But people, being dimwits, shoehorned her into some obscure Jewish texts.

But modern "scholars", who were in need of money and tenure, further ingrained her into some interpretations.

Now you have armchair scholars who think she was a "real" person.

Lilith, also spelled Lilit, Lilitu, or Lilis, is a feminine figure in Mesopotamian and Jewish mythology, theorized to be the first wife of Adam and a primordial she-demon. Lilith is cited as having been "banished" from the Garden of Eden for not complying with and obeying Adam

i mean seriously, just call her eden. now we have to ask who eden is. how many wives did adam have before god was like fuck it and cursed all women? and mankind?

The funny thing is a TH sound doesn't even exist in Hebrew they have an F but no TH. Lilith is actually called Lillit so technically Lilith is a Latin invention by Catholics who failed to translate Hebrew to Latin. Just like Arafell is just the Hebrew word for fog and not some mystical energy or Armageddon being Har (mount) Mageddon, Meaning Armaggon is just mount-mageddon. Or leviathan is a mistranslation of the Hebrew word for whale (LIvyattan). Ironically even the word Jew is a mistranslation as in Hebrew jews are Yehudim, and Judia is called Yehuda but latin tunred all the yoods (hebrew letter for Y) to J's a letter that dosn't even natively exist in Hebrew.

Once you study the evolution of languages you may be surprised by how much of the words used by all modern languages in the modern world are just mistranslations of words from other languages.

The Bible is a collection of 73 books compiled by the council on Nicea in 325A. D. there were Many other books that did not make it into the Bible. But Lilith IS mentioned once in Isaiah 34:14. Just not directly.
