1 yYou are mixing two alien concepts there. Real is often a matter of empirical or tangible proof. Belief is just that, belief, It is a thought or maybe sometimes a faith that things are such that proof is not required.

1 yThere are multiple things. The strongest one for me now, is that the bible always turns out to be true. But I believed before I saw regular evidence that God was real.
00 Reply First of all look around you look at everything on this planet and how it is made it's made with precision I'm talking about us and animals and trees and rocks and bushes everything it is made with such precision it's just unbelievable the delicate fine details things that we have inside of us that all have to work together to make us who
We are.
And then me as a person is a human being I don't know how I know things it just come to me when I ask I get an answer and then another answer and another answer it's like a puzzle that just starts putting itself together in front of me
Then there is this thing called Bible code it's all written in code over 3,000 years ago
You're in this book everybody is in this book it will tell your life story I mean your life story in detail how would know somebody know this 3,000 years ago.
It also breaks it down to where in this genetic code it tells the name of God . And Jesus YHWH is God's name. And Jesus name is Yeshua
And when you break this code down our DNA is signed. . By God himself and the letters break down to say God within so he's telling us all that we are God.. . And if you think about it if God is within which I believe he is then you want to be the best person you can possibly be with no matter what it is you do or say or act.
Like I said we were all given a gift when we were born and that gift is choice we get to choose who we want to be in life by the things we say and do and if you cannot be the best you can be then you hold yourself back..
I have never read the Bible but there's one thing I believe it says inside of it and that is become one with self one with others and one with this universe it's like we are all a big puzzle and we are all supposed to come together.
But I mean just so many things come to me and the other thing is to have faith to believe in something you cannot see there's so many people that cannot do that I don't understand why but I have faith I believe there is a God I believe in myself I believe in you. . I used to be so lost because of all the things that I believe in I believe in energy I believe in the power of energy and what we do with it what can be done with it and all these other things and people always said oh you're crazy you're crazy this that blah blah blah... And then one day I was watching YouTube you should check this out there's a guy by the name of Greg Braden... I was watching him and he started talking about all these things that I have believed in for years and years and years and all of a sudden I just had goosebumps all over my whole body and he's a scientist and now they are proving all this stuff that I have believed in that has come to me out of nowhere and that I have preached the people for so long and to hear somebody else actually talking about it and it making more sense to me even then because it's exactly the way that I felt it or seen it or heard it in some cases even deeper than what he goes to say but look him up.
And you will not believe the amount of evidence that he has as a scientist that God is real05 Reply- 1 y
Sorry. You're deluding yourself.
Anonymous(18-24)1 yThe fact that I can doubt his existence, the fact harm can come to anyone, the fact the Serpent even exists, etc. To be the Christian "God," you must be omnipotent, all powerful, and by nature altruistic.
So you're telling me the biblical God, despite literally creating us in his image (so by nature, we're supposed to be altruistic), still somehow had it slip his mind that we can even be corrupted by anything despite him being perfect? Perfection, like God is supposed to be, leaves no room for error. Also, if God created the world and everything in it, that means the Serpent is his creation, which means he outright made an evil being. No, this makes zero sense, and even my Protestant Professor who is a pastor and teaches at a university tells me it's the one thing he's found hard to reconcile.
The real reason is that the Bible we know today is a product of centuries of cultural literary works encountering changes in the Jewish, and then eventually Christian missionary political events. The Torah and the Bible were never divinely inspired works, they were always creations of people who told stories, and tried to come up with explanations of how their world worked in concurrence with their current societal beliefs. Even "God" himself is a result of this, as originally he was just one deity in a pantheon of Median/Edom/Canaanite gods, though if I remember right he was the one heading it (kind of like Zeus). This is the actual "historical" God we're talking about, he himself was a part of cultural exchange and evolution.

Opinion Owner1 yTldr; I deny the existence of "God" as an actual thing that affects our world.

You have it totally wrong. God is perfect we are not perfect. He created us with free will. Because he wants us to chose to love him and follow him. By the very basic meaning of love and free will go together. You can not love someone or something if you do not have free will. If you take away free will and force someone or something to love you then it's not love at all. Because love can not be taken it can only be given freely unfortunately also giving us free will means that people choose not to live and believe in God it's a necessary factor in love and free will. You have to be willing to accept not everyone or everything will love you if you give them free will and a choice to love you or not. But taking away free will and forcing people to love you is 100 percent guarantee they don't love you because it's not their choice. It's a dbl edge sword that is a necessity
1 yWell besides the fact that every person on earth knows there is and can feel there is in the very fabric of their inner being. The Question should be which God is the correct God and How do you know that is the right one.
For me that question is also easy. The God of the Bible the Judo Christian God. This is the 1 and only true God and the Reason it is because of this.
Only God can declare the End from the Beginning. Meaning only God knows the Future. If you look at it this way. Imagine your at a parade well as the parade goes by you see who's right in front of you but you can't see the end or the beginning of the parade. You know what happened once it passed you but you still can't see the future.
Well God is in a Helicopter above the Parade and can see the Beginning, the Middle, and the End all at once. Ok so back to my point. The Judo Christian God has declared through Prophecy time and time again over the last 5000 years of Human History with Pin point accuracy. Who can do that alone God.
So that is How you know God is Real and who the Right God is. And an added bonus. The Christian God is the only God in History who dies for all mankind. All the other Gods make you die for them.

Anonymous(45 Plus)1 ySimple extrapolation. If you look at the sheer odds how could you not believe in intelligent design? I mean scientists use mathmatics to prove all thier theories then stop at mathmatics to prove God's existence? Science is repeatedly proving God's existence but it's man's arrogance that prevents him from taking that final leap of faith. This video is what I'm talking about.
Science concludes dark matter exists because galaxies will fly apart without the existence of dark matter proven time and time again in computer simulations. But we've never actually seen dark matter. Einstein theorized the existence of black holes and mathmatics proved it long before gravatational lensing proved the existence of the warping of spacetime caused by massive gravity from black holes. So you see science takes that leap of faith repeatedly with everything BUT God.

1 yBecause I cannot define God. Therefore I do not understand God.
I could make attempts, but I don't even understand the shit in space. For all I know, our planets are the atoms of something much larger, like atoms are to the matter that we have in front of us.
So I recognize the fact that I am retarded and choose to be agnostic.
10 ReplyWe exist, so we were created. If the big bang created us, then the big bang is god. If Vishnu or Zeus (I don't think either were called our creators, just making a point) created us, then they are god. God is a fact. A humanoid deity, as described by a religion, is not.

@slatyb there is absolutely 0 scientific evidence that we evolved from anything. If we evolved from monkeys or apes.. why do we still have monkeys and apes. There is absolutely 0 scientific evidence of macro evolution, which is one species turning into a completely different species for example a fish evolving into a dog. Or an ape evolving into a man. There is micro evolution like wolves turning into dogs or different dog breeds, but again there is no proof a fish turned into a dog
- 1 y
@thewombraider. You DID NOT just do the monkeys still exist thing did you? OMG my sides hurt from laughing!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I do not believe the Gods that people worship are real. Without a brain to imagine, there is no concept of their Gods. Without human hands to create them, there are no books that contain "proof" of God.
I "believed" when I was a kid. I "believed" because I was taught it as truth when my cortex wasn't developed well enough for me to logically refute the claims.01 Reply- 1 y
But kids believe santa claus and stop! No excuse of " before development. "

God is NOT omniscient or omnipotent. Therefore, no God.
- 1 y
@DrPepper12 keep thinking that. I'll get a better room.
- 1 y
You are just repeating yourself -- look around, isn't it wonderful? I don't know how any of this came about (the rest of us have a good idea), and some people told me it was God, so I'm going with that.
Even so, there's no evidence that prayer or any other religious practice is effective, no evidence for an afterlife. So there's nothing for me to do, whether or not there is a God. I'm agnostic about God: I don't know and don't claim to know, and I don't believe anyone can know. - 1 y
Yeah. Where IS the evidence? Why would some all-powerful being play hide and seek? It's irrational.
- 1 y
@DrPepper12 Evidence is not necessary when faith is involved. Ask a million Muslims.
1 yNothing. God is not real... I mean, not tangible or concrete but God is real in the Santa Claus or Easter Bunny way (real TO YOU). God is only one in a very long line of imaginary deities conjured by societies throughout history to make sense of a brutal, scary, and unfair world.

1 yGod is a logical necessity.
In simple terms we see parents and children who needed parents.
therefore those parents needed parents repeated... therefore must be a "starter" that was spiritual not physical.

@DrPepper12 OK, true story! I had never ridden a dirt bike before. We had gone camping, and we had left a propane tank for our BBQ at the roadhead in the back of our truck. I volunteered to go get it. They had a Honda Trail 90 so I hopped on and took off. I didn't know these things had a foot brake. It was a rutty tough road that you needed a good 4x4 to get down to the site. It was full of deep ruts and narrow road where it dropped of. So not being an expert rider I dumped it many times going through ruts. In these mishaps both brake handles were broken off and I was without any brakes. Going down one hilly part of the road I was going too fast and tried to switch to a lower gear but the engine cut out and it was in neutral. So I was going downhill pretty fast , trying to avoid ruts. On the right was a steep drop off and a curve I knew I wouldn't make at my speed. So in desperation a yelled, "Lord, save me!" and in an instant the bike dropped into gear and the engine started and I was able to slow down by engine compression and basically was saved from some possible horrible ending. Some may believe it was just a coincidence, but I knew better. And there have been other times too where I was saved from possible death or injury.

OK, true fact: No one alive has ever seen God. Even Moses didn't see God's face, only his back as he passed by Moses. In fact, if you ever saw God in your mortal body you would die of heart failure as your body could not behold his glory. We will only see him in Heaven.
- 1 y
@Daniela1982 wrong Jesus is God in the flesh many saw him and wrote all about it.
- 1 y
@TheWombRaider But he took a subservient role on Earth as a human. God the Father is totally different. In fact, when Jesus comes back to Earth, no one knows the time of this event. As the Bible says, the angels do not know, or even the Son (Jesus). Only God the Father knows the time and date.
- 1 y
@thewombraider. The "word of God" wasn't written until @30 years after his death by fallible, gullible humans in a messianic era.
- 1 y
@Daniela1982 But that is why in Genesis it says let us make man in our image in our likeness, he was referring to the holy Trinity. As in we took on the image of Jesus physically as the image of man. We took on God the fathers image because we laugh , we cry, we feel sad , we feel angry , we feel love and emotions just as God the father feels, we took the breath of Life and have the holy Spirit in us and when we die we give back that breath of Life in your last breath. That's why God says make no engraven image because we are made in the image of God. And to also answer your last question Adam and Eve saw the face of God and "maybe Enoch" but other than that you are correct about everything else. Man can not be around God because man has sin and he is a holy God and can not be around sin or he will break out on us. He states it many times in the old testament. As to no man knows the day the time and hour of Jesus return. It doesn't say no man will ever know. I whole heartly believe he will return in 2030 as to the exact time I do not know but the year I 100 percent believe it will be 2030. If you want to know why I be more than willing to tell you. I have read the Bible front to back 34 times and have been a student of biblical prophecy for a long time time now. I would love to discuss it with you.
- 1 y
@DrPepper12 um no God is just English translation of the Greek word Theos which is the basis for the word Theology or Study of God
- 1 y
@TheWombRaider Oh, we will know when it happens for sure. We just do not know when that will be. People have predicted his return for a long time. Just when that is, no one knows but God the Father.

@DrPepper12 Have you even read the Bible front to Back. If I had to guess I would say No why because most people that have and by most I mean 99 percent believe what the Bible says and agree it is Historically accurate.
