I guess when they go to a court of law they just ignore all the testimony from eyewitnesses and expert witnesses... Clearly there is a new testament, where eyewitnesses that observed the life of Jesus testify to what they witnessed. In modern times sworn testimony from eyewitnesses is classified as direct evidence in a court of law. Those eyewitnesses were so sure of their testimony they were willing to die before changing their story. Then there are written documents describing Jesus like Lentulus' official letter to Emperor Tiberius which supports that Jesus is a real person from history and gives a physical description of him. This would be corroborating evidence. Then there is stuff like the Shroud of Turin which has been dated to the time period of Jesus by wide-angle X-ray crystallography. They say trust the science, but they won't trust the science when it gives them details about God... The Shroud of Turin would be physical evidence. As they say, you can lead a horse to water, but you can make him drink. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.

AI Recreates Detailed Image of Jesus Based on Shroud of Turin 110 Reply- 1 y
The Shroud of Turin has been carbon-dated to the thirteenth or fourteenth centuries; that's hardly "the time of Jesus", unless I missed the part in the Apocrypha about Him having a time machine. In any case, an Israelite Jew in 30 AD wouldn't look much like Sallman's illustration; he'd look more like a big-nosed Arab.

@NamerOfStars All you did is come in with a much older study using less reliable technology which has been proven wrong to argue against more modern technology that has less chance for error and then you smeared anti-white racism all over it because you can deal with reality.

Lentulus' letter is presented as an official report to the Emperor Tiberius. In his letter Lentulus describes the condemned man named Jesus of Nazareth as having: a noble and lively face, with fair and slightly wavy hair; black and strongly curving eyebrows, intense penetrating blue eyes and an expression of wondrous grace. His nose is rather long. His beard is almost blonde, although not very long. His hair is quite long, and has never seen a pair of scissors... His neck is slightly inclined, so that he never appears to be bitter or arrogant. His tanned face is the color of ripe corn and well proportioned. It gives the impression of gravity and wisdom, sweetness and good, and is completely lacking in any sign of anger. (Holy Land Magazine, Franciscan Holy Land Press, Spring 1998).
Maize from America (Corn) had not yet been discovered by Eurasia. In Rome corn was Wheat.

Oh, grow up. Carbon dating is a proven technology; WXAS is still pretty dubious. It also offers no explanation as to WHY the carbon would have decayed faster, unless the body of Jesus somehow induced radioactivity. Lentulus's letter was written in the 15th century, and has no bearing on reality.
You then show a picture that could've come straight from Fred Phelps and call ME a racist.
Your attitude is everything wrong with modern Christianity. - 1 y
@NamerOfStars It's funny that when you know you can't attack the idea that you attack the person. It's a fact that the shroud has been handled by many people over time. It's also fact that the shroud has been exposed to smoke in fires. So rather than acknowledge the facts that their is contamination and that would negatively effect carbon dating accuracy, you start crying like a bitch. You're a dishonest person. Furthermore, I wasn't the one that brought up race. That was you. In investigations you follow the evidence to a conclusion, you don't start from a conclusion based on your racial preference and then dismiss all evidence that contradicts what you want to believe. For you, you want to believe Jesus and Israelites are Arabs, which couldn't be further from the truth. So as a result you refuse to accept all evidence that doesn't support your position. As Jesus proclaimed, “I am the way and the truth and the life"... Clearly you don't believe in truth, you believe in narrative building, so logically we can conclude you are not a Christian.

But that leads to the obvious question "How was God created?" Any claim that God is eternal can be made about the Universe. What do we really know? Prayer and other religious practices have no practical benefit -- the devout are no better off than the skeptics.

1 yGod sometimes hides his presence from wicked people because he does not want them to be capable of intelligent decision making after they’ve used their power and resources to hurt so many innocent people. If they believed in God, they might gain the ability to reverse the consequence for their actions so God prevents them from believing in Him. Sometimes God doesn’t hide his presence, but he hides his wisdom and teachings from people so those who hurt others in the name of religion will still be punished even though they believe in God.

1 yBecause proof negates faith! If there was rock solid undeniable, scientifically provable evidence of god’s existence, then what would be the need for faith? I mean if god gave a weekly televised news conference, then nobody would believe in god, they would just know he exists! The Bible and the Torah tell us to have faith and to know god is real. Faith is the belief in something in spite of a total lack of evidence. So again, what good would “faith” be if we all just KNEW that god existed? I know that and I’m an agnostic.

1 yMostly ignorance and fear. They think if they tell everyone "jail is not real" so they can't possibly be sent to jail.
Even the most extreme doubter des cartes who doubted EVEN if we exist! The same doubter proved, yes there is proof, he proved GOD as clearly as "3 and 5 are odd numbers"
do you know the proof that 3 is an odd number? Or claim "NO proof" or "i won't believe it is odd number until i know the proof. "
They are ignorant and hypocrits.

"The sky above your head is proof, look at nature and us."
Nah that's not proof especially considering all the flaws in human design. Like we can die from our own puke while being unconscious due to a programming error.
"That all those rapist, murderers, pedophiles, and the evil in this world shall not be brought to justice?"
Depends on whether they are caught or not but several of the worst human's like Stalin have died in their beds without consequences of their actions.

1 yBecause there's no proof God is real? 🤔

Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yThere isn’t. It’s based on what you believe. When something is proven to be real, then one doesn’t need to believe or it, it simply is because it exists. If you believe something then it’s real to you. For others it isn’t.

1 yBecause it is impossible to prove. Even if you believe in a divine order that's omniscient and omnipotent than it is beyond the intellect of humans to comprehend. If proof were possible than faith would be irrelevant
01 Reply- 1 y
Why would it be impossible to prove? And why would the mere POSSIBILITY of proof make faith irrelevant?
1 yBecause they worship themselves as they create themselves lol
I don't know what you believe in. But there's God. And we all be turn back to him.
