It is said:  "There are None so blind as Those who CHOOSE not to 'see'..."  'Real' is ultimately a  subjective  perception.  Clearly...  foremost ,  at least two  Sentiences  must perceive 'something'  to  some similar characteristics , for it  to OBJECTIVELY be 'real'  as in 'reality'.  If it doesn't... TO YOU  it does NOT 'exist'.If it doesn't... TO YOU   Take the phenomena of ' Gravity' for example. It will STILL affect your physical self independent of YOUR belief. So...  if there is NO pre-existant Sentience, who therefore perpetually imbues 'gravity' ?  Since 'gravity'  independently  acts upon all known sentient life forms, it DOES  'objectively'  exist. And...  since the phenomena of 'entropy' consumes the energy to perpetuate perceivable phenomena, Gravity and Inertia for example. SOME energetic Sentience DOES ongoingly 'enforce' that which 'reality' manifests as 'Physics' to a  repetitious insightful  fashion.

Why do some people believe that "God" IS real?
I mean, there's not a shred of evidence for one. The Bible sure ain't proof of anything.

If a person does a bit of research, they'll realize that the Bible contains few facts and lots of contradictions. The Torah and Talmud were written down by exiled Judean rabbis about 500 bc. It is not the word of any god, it was actually the invention of Satanism.
The stories about Jesus are tweaked beyond credibility, too. Biblical scholars agree.

Where I live, the crocus flowers bloom first in the spring.

Next come the daffodils

Next are the tulips. It's always in that order. How do they know what to do? Most people can't even figure out how to properly push their shopping carts in a grocery store. I absolutely believe in a higher power of intelligence that makes it all work. But I don't know if that's some guy with a white beard.

I think it's funny when a scientist says there's no God, but they know there was a big bang theory 13.8 billion years ago. Yeah, because that just makes perfect sense.

For the same reason religious people don’t believe in any of the other hundreds of gods.

if you believe in the christian god, you still don’t believe in zeus, horus, the muslim deity, the many gods the aboriginals believe in, or any other god.

believing that only YOUR god is the real god is insane. The likelihood that YOUR god is the only real one and all the other endless gods are not is narcissistic as hell.

The idea of a god is generally injected to explain something people don’t understand or are uncomfortable with, like death.

people used to believe in a god of night and a god of day, then we discovered how the planets work so we didn’t need that “god” anymore.

believing in a magical creature above space and time, that created everything from the beginning of time to the end of time, and is omnipotent, that listens to the thoughts of one group of living organisms on a spec of dirt among an infinite sea of other specs if dirt and cares what those life forms do and think, and grants their “wishes” which in-turn would defeat the entire omnipotent idea… is quite insane.

The correct way to structure it is to say 'Why do people believe in a God / Gods?'

The burden of proof lies with the claimant, that is the theist.

The default position for everything is non belief.

Everything must be proven with evidence and there is no evidence supporting any of the claims made by theists.

Because humans are so stupid, they couldn't possibly keep track of an all-knowing, all-seeing Creator of All and keep its story accurate for over a thousand years. The majority of humans are and always will be stupid, so I doubt their claims that their creator god is "accurate." I'm not even saying a higher power doesn't exist - I'm agnostic - but I doubt humanity in its infinite idiocy, has any idea what that higher power is, if any. And yes, this is me being positive on the matter.

There's a lot of human depravity associated with religion, the books are very hard to read, with some wild stories or sad reality. A lot of it, is hard to stomach. Some big egos fall into the pit of "doom", lost. I had a bad reaction early on watching TV evangelists.

As well, difficult circumstances in life make it hard to understand "God". Especially... if there is a god, how could they do "this" or allow "this". Also, what happens to people I loved who weren't of the given faith... and thus lost forever. Hard to make sense of love, and loss, separation.

They don't like to see the human division between religions, so they choose none.

Running into difficult problems, they conclude God is not real or dead.

It's an extraordinary claim So far there is zero evidence. All we have is old texts and people's claims, neither of which are reliable The parameters of such deities are so vaguely defined that any fictional entity could be substituted. Exists everywhere, invisible to all measures etc is convenient People have believed in numerous deities throughout the centuries. These are no more valid (Zeus etc) People pray for help with disease etc and it never comes. Numerous horrific things are allowed to happen indicating this being doesn't exist, lacks power, or doesn't care.

It is impossible to prove/disprove existence of a proposed entity called by humans "God", because its existence would be so much different that ours. God needs to move beyond our dimensions. We might speculate about it, but will never be able to describe it, since we lack cognitive apparatus and we are limited by the laws of physics.

One of the more obvious reasons is that there are currently of 40,000 different versions of “god” worshipped by humans.

Every last one of those 40,000 religions claims that theirs is correct and the others are all lies.

Lots of reasons. This is why whenever I talk about my faith to people who say they're agnostics or some atheists (some for good reason) I always like to say "I don't KNOW anything more than you. The only thing that has changed since I found Jesus is now I have faith" and faith fluctuates. When I was a "non believer" I always took Christians as arrogant and it and the cross was offensive to me. I remember cursing God when my father passed away. Now I draw strength from it. And I don't want to beat anyone over the head with a Bible. I just want them to feel the same joy and peace that it brings me. But I only if they're ready and willing to hear it.

Because it just doesn't make sense and hasn't been proven to be true. I was told that God would always be with me and wouldn't let anything bad happen to me during hardships. Covid happened and my faith was already hanging by a thread. I became lonely and depressed that almost drove me to suicide. Where the hell was "God" when I went through that? Then some other shit with the church. I eventually lost faith in christianity

The Bible actually addresses this - off the top of my head in Romans and the latter part of 1 Corinthians 2. If course, atheists will not care because they don’t believe the Bible to be true in the first place. That’s between them and the God that they don’t believe in.

The canonical gospels are highly contestable ancient literature. Half of Paul's letters are not even considered to be written by Paul himself according to scholars. Having said that, I'm a Christian today. I fought and battled with doubt my entire life though. To blindly follow is a shallow base.
