I mean, who cares? If you go by religion, it shouldn't really care what color Jesus is portrayed as. Although at the same time I can see how people would think it a little weird that in the vast majority depictions of Jesus has eurocentric instead of semitic features... But still, for Christians it shouldn't matter much. And we don't know for sure what Jesus looked like, he wasn't Germanic white, that's for sure... But he COULD have been a white levantine. I mean, there are white, blue/green eyed, even blond people in the Levant who are unmixed with European. The "white race" didn't start in Europe. Although it was much more likely that he had olive skin and dark hair, a typical Middle Eastern look.

Yeah, white Jesus is very much done on purpose. You really think that a jewish arabic man in the middle east 2000 years ago, looked white?
No, most images of the modern white Jesus were derived from renaissance paintings, the most commonly referenced is those of Da Vinci who used Cesare Borgia as a model, and was also rumored to be Da Vinci’s lover.
Truthfully, every culture has depicted Jesus in the same race as they were, but european jesus has definitely got some more insidious influence in regards to the influences of white supremacy.

The danger from this kind of nonsense is in the other direction: if you're SO fragile that a depiction of a guy who would've been a pale, big-nosed Arab, whose ENTIRE MESSAGE was about universal human brotherhood and the irrelevancy of human ethnic divisions, actually causes harm to you, then maybe you are inferior.

It really doesn't matter to me because I doubt Jesus was an actual person in history, let alone any specific race! But on the off chance there was a itinerate rabbi named Yeshua in ancient Israel who gathered twelve disciples and got crucified I don't think he'd be this blue eyed blonde haired white dude. He'd be a dark skinned (probably half Palestinian, or some other Arab, or maybe even east African) brown eyed Jew.

Jesus was a Caucasian. He was Jewish and a semite. Arabs are Caucasian as well. Yes middle easterners have browner skin but then so do Sicilians and Greeks and Turks.
