Not at all. I was born on the 13th, so my birthday sometimes falls on a Friday. I consider it a lucky number. 😁

"The superstition that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day has been around for the past 100 years. But it doesn’t have the ancient origins that many might expect.

"It’s hard to pinpoint exactly why Friday the 13th is considered an unlucky day. Experts can only speculate.

“The United States, we get it from England… it wasn’t considered an unlucky day in England until the 20th century. The first recorded instance we have of that in print is 1913,” said Moira Marsh, a folklore librarian at the University of Indiana Bloomington.

“'People start to make references to it being unlucky without saying why they think it’s unlucky. And because of that, typically what you get is all kinds of wild theories about why Friday the 13th is unlucky,' said Stephen Winick, a folklore specialist at the American Folklife Center of The Library of Congress."

The superstition of Friday 13th harbinges back to the duplicitous betrayal of the Templars by both the Christian Pope and the King of France, envious of the Templar's physical wealth and substantial holdings.

Charges of blasphemy were trumped up and the substantial debts that had been incurred by both king and pope TO the Templar's banking were erased and orders given to arrest all the Templars they could lay hands upon the morning of the 13th.

The head of the Order Jaques DeMolay, was burnt at the stake, but not before he lain a prophetic curse upon both. His last words were that both king and pope would stand judgement at his side before God for their duplicity and EACH died before a year after his execution had passed. Mu-ah-hah-hah!--- ;)

I'm not superstitious, but I'd bet anything that people act extra stupid on Friday the 13th just because of the superstition in our culture. So yeah, worse stuff probably does happen on these days.

No, when you look into the history of it, you find the biggest mass execution of hundreds of Knights Templars in 1307AD, which is why they called it a day of bad luck.
