Typically a local church congregation is between 100 to 500 regular attendees. If you look at the view counts of the top 10 online church broadcasts you'll notice that 12.64 million people attend regularly. Those 10 churches are equivalent to 25,280 to 126,400 more churches. So to assume church attendance is down is kind of ludicrous. More people than ever are consuming church service, bible study, and apologetic than any other time in history. They are just using a different medium to study religion. While community involvement with other local Christians is important, to assume people are losing faith is kind of ignorant.

When Jesus was around speaking to people with spoken language he reached a handful of people. When The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John entered written language the message of Jesus reached countless more people. Then the printing press arrived and Bibles were printed at break neck speed and distributed far and wide for consumption. Today the internet is here and the word is world wide. If you feel like your congregation is smaller than you'd like, then leverage technology to reach more people. Broadcast your service live on Rumble and YouTube. Advertise church events over the internet on your website and before and after your service broadcasts. Keep up with the times.

The church my parents attend has wizzled to a handful of elderly members. It has only been kept afloat by money donated in the wills of deceased members, and there are only so many people left to die.
