Is being atheist nice?

Being an atheist is great if you ask me! A religious person can never understand the freedom and relief I feel. Ultimately, I see humans as an organism that emerged in the evolutionary process, just like other living things. And after living for a while, we will die and our consciousness will fade away. This being the case, the universe presents me with a blank picture. I can paint it however I want, I can draw whatever picture I want. I can determine my own meaning and purpose and live with full individuality. I think I'm free and cool😏

Without a religious framework, your freedom is still relative, still determined by your upbringing, your experiences, your culture, your social class, your country and your unconscious. I would hardly call that your "meaning, purpose and full individuality".

No more than being a thief is "nice".

Sure, stealing from others and giving them the slip may make you feel "big" and "clever," for a while. But when the hammer comes down, you had nothing and were nothing but a parasite.

Hence why we have so few memorable atheists in history who can attribute anything to their atheism.

I'm sure it is for many who are but I wouldn't say being religious or spiritual is not freeing or relieving for some.

Wouldn't have it any other way I 100% agree, and go further the religious will never understand what it's like to own your own existence/life to be free from dogma and indoctrination, and the fear of death/unknown/hell! It's great and I actually feel bad for religious people living in fear and mental chains like they do. It's very sad, all for something that doesn't exist. They throw away this only life we have for a supposed paradise/heaven/Nirvana that they will only get to access after they die! What a pity.

You have the freedom to say whatever you like, but freedom of speech only protects you from the government anyone on a private platform can de-platform you, and the government can't protect you from social consequences.

Those former atheists were atheists for emotional reasons good luck convincing atheists who became that way intellectual reasons into believing what they think is nonsense. I (and countless other secular folk) have lived happy fulfilling lives without religion. I know you are too small minded to comprehend that someone can live a good life without religion, but people can: Matt Dillahunty. Forest Vallkai. Tracy Harris. Etc.

these atheists wanted to be hedonistic, break the law, take drugs, engage in hookup culture, become slaves to corporations, become LGBTQ+ and believe in nonsensical "science" like 53 genders and the world ending in 2050 due to global warming

they glue themselves to porn and stuff themselves with anti-depressants to cope with their meaninglessness in life let alone contribute to society

People who have nice personality can be nice as atheists. People with bad personality can't be.
The same applies to religious people.
