
Why don't people grasp this simple point regarding religious freedom?

In America your freedom of religion circles around a couple core ideas. There is the establishment clause in the first amendment which reads as follows, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion". So that is to say that Congress can not establish a religion and enforce the legal observation of said religion by law, and can not compel people to worship God in any way. Such laws could infringe on people's natural right of conscience and lead to the establishment of a national religion which the founding fathers wished to avoid after being oppressed under the Church of England. The next idea is that you can freely excise your religion and practices with the caveat that those practices can't violate public morals and compelling government interests. Being that America was founded on Judeo-Christian morals, when your religion conflicts with laws established based on Judaism or Christianity then your practice of religion is thrown out basicly, but at least you have freedom of speech, of the press, and the right to peacefully assemble so that you can complain about it. You may say this a is a contradiction... Yep, pretty much, but you are still allowed to keep your own ideas, build your temples, wear your religious garbs, talk about your religion, put your religion in writing, and do your rituals so long as they don't violate any laws, but you do have to respect some Jewish and Christian ideas if you want to live here. That's just the way the cookie crumbles.
So yes, in America Judaism and Christianity do dictate what others can and can not do. Get use to it or get out.

1) Atheism is a religion. That's how stupid you are. It arose out of the cult of reason in the French revolution as a reactionary movement against Christianity, more specifically the Catholic church. Christ represents Christianity and the Anti-Christ represents Atheism. Atheism literally means to move away from belief in God, and more specifically the God of Israel. That is, you must believe in God, and then choose to abandon God which is exactly what Satanism is. You leave the light and the life for the outer darkness and death.
2) Clearly if someone does not follow the creed of the Christian religion, they are not Christians. Thus "Catholic priests" that molest children are just like you, they Satanists that try to attack Christianity and the church through sacrilege and lies. Thus, just like them pedophilia is part of your religion, because it is the extreme sacrilege against God. Hurting children is a grave sin.

Thus logically to be moral you have to believe in both "good" and "bad" at a bare minimum.
From an etymological analysis we see "Good" is "God". That is directly where the word comes from in the English language.

You personally may not have reverence for God, but you do believe in God and thus choose "Bad" over "God". Like I already told you, Atheism is a religion. You've just chosen to go to the dark side. So, sure Atheist can be moral, they just have bad morality because either directly or indirectly they worship Satan. That's why you believe you have morality.
If you didn't know any of that, then maybe you should stop using big worlds religion, moral, and good. Use a vocabulary that reflects your level of education and stop acting so pretentious.

Just as it has always been, atheism's hypocrisy runs deep. They make claims that the Christian religion is oppressive (just like you), and then go on to oppress the Christians by mocking God, destroying sanctuaries, stealing private property, defaming Christians, murdering clergymen in the streets and burning people literature and artwork in the streets like devote Nazi socialists. You are missing something very important.
Everyone has the right to petition and lobby for any kind of legislation they want. What you are suggesting is that religious people are excluded from that right.
They have just as much right to push their views as you do. Whether a person's views stem from religion, some kind of moral compass, or is simply opinion, does not matter. They have that right just like you do.
You are free to practice whichever religion you want. Nobody is excluding you from ANYTHING! You just DON'T have the right to IMPOSE your religion on others! It's not that hard to understand! This is NOT a theocracy! Simple!
