Does any other catholic women wear a veil to mass?

It's an old Catholic tradition that was largely abandoned in the 70s except for in the east maybe but is making a comeback by a lot of younger women. I was first introduced to it a few years ago by an aunt it Scotland. There are so many wonderful designs and I feel a sense of spirituality in church when I wear a veil, I'd highly recommend it.

Yes, some Catholic women wear veils to mass, and the practice is becoming more common:

While the Catholic custom of women covering their heads at Mass was common before the 1970s, it fell out of practice after the Second Vatican Council. However, the current Code of Canon Law does not reissue the canon about head veils, so women are not required to cover their heads in church.

There are no hard and fast rules for wearing chapel veils. Some women wear veils to match their outfit, while others wear colors they like. Some women save more special-looking veils for feasts of the church.

Veiling ceased to be the norm after the Catholic Church's modernizing reforms of the 1960s, commonly known as “Vatican II”—which, among other things, placed restrictions on whether parishes could offer the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM).

The the current Canon law doesn't follow the bible where it clearly states that it's a sin for a woman to enter God's sanctuary (church, temple, etc..) without a head covering and likewise the opposite for men, it's a sin for a man to enter God's house with a head covering or at the very least disrespectful.

I've attended Catholic masses all over the world and have never seen that. One of my second cousins is a Sister and didn't even do that. I've only seen nuns Orthodox women do that.

Though in some rural villages in Poland, women wear head coverings regularly.

I only found out recently that only the men have to remove their headwear.

I wear one. I see some of thd older women wear them but I see younger women like myself wearing them now too.

Christians in India do cover their heads if they are wearing a saree. But it is not compulsory. Some women do. Veils are not common here even though I've seen them wear it.

It's not been compulsory in the Catholic Church since the 60s but a lot of us are bringing it back. I've seen a few widows wear their wedding veils.

Catholicism actually differs from region to region. They all believe the same things but for instance there are differences between say Mexican catholics and Irish catholics. Indian catholics thought the only one I've met is one of our local priests, I'm sure are very Indian.

That's a grandma thing. I laugh last time I seen a woman wearing one Was laugh so hard I had to step out of mass 😂 😂 😂 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

Yes. A lot of women at my parish wear them to Mass. My wife does sometimes, and other times she doesn't.

In Spain, only the older generation will wear it and almost exclusively for mourning. Black would of course be the colour of choice.

I visited many catholic churches and they don't wear such veils.

Yes. They were largely done away with in the 70s but are making a small comeback

Many do in Latin America and the Philippines. And older "ethnic" women in America.
