I've never felt so christian as I have lately when I was at Christmas with my family till now. I don't even believe literally in a god but I feel like the values and culture we need them more than ever :)

Well, I do sympathize with some values you're referring to, but I've seen too many Christians praising rules over values, caring for rules instead of caring for people, so I can't trust Christian culture to do any good for the people.

And God, well, it looks like a creation made to insure that people would follow rules, but as I said, I don't trust those rules, given what is being done with them, around the world.

We do need God in our lives. There is so much isolation and division in the world. Religion was something that brought people together.

Yes, because the average person needs to feel a sense of comfort about the components of life, and death, that scientists haven't been able to explain. That, and it gives many people a moral compass that they wouldn't have had just from laws or secular social pressure.

Personally, I don't need religion, but I can still accept that any religion could be right and a literal God could exist. There's literally no way for me, or anyone, to truly know one way or another.

I don't even care about life and death if I live to a decent age and I feel like I did what I could in my life then I'll be fine with dying. I feel like it's the culture of being decent and giving back to society. Picking up your garbage and putting it in the trash can small things like that. If someone puts out fruit to buy that you have to pay for in a little box actually paying and not stealing. Things like that, the good will the decency it's a positive cycle but it can turn into a negative cycle as well. Keeping a country running at a high level can only work if people buy in and everybody contributes. If that percentage drops underneath a certain line everything will start to fall apart.

Well, it's starting to fall apart for Western society. Even in just my lifetime. I don't think lack of religion is really to blame though. It's demographic shift. Homogeneous societies are higher trust, happier places. Melting pots get you Brazil. The entire West will look like Brazil soon.

I know that when I die I want to be in heaven and I need Jesus Christ in my life in order to make that happen. Period.
When my late boyfriend passed away suddenly, I could rest about where he went when he died. He went to heaven because he did and said all of the simple things it takes in order to ensure that you get to heaven.
If I thought for a moment that he was burning ❤️‍🔥 in hell for eternity I wouldn't have been able to deal with his death in the same way.
