A guy I used to know said God will not give you something you do not deserve. Do you think he was lying about that?

I think the bible says God is willing to give you things you do not deserve if you are willing to forgive those who deserve to be punished by you. Now I am referring to people who mistreat you, not people who mistreat others, since the authority of forgiveness might lie with them instead of you.

I look at it like this everything in life is tide together.
There's two sides to everybody and in order for everything to work
Good evil positive negative right wrong love hate God devil we live in a dual purpose world where there's two sides to everything you can't experience one without experience in the other you can't have one without having the other Love and hate there's a fine line between them but you can't have it or even understand the depth of it until you experience both sides of it

That old same I don't even remember what it is but no good deed goes unpunished it's the same thing you might not deserve it but you're going to experience it and you experience it to understand it and to get through it

Nothing in this world is put in front of us to hold us back is put in front of us for us to understand it and to get through it and it's not that we fall down it's how we get back up and keep going

There's going to be times in our life where we feel that we do everything right but we have to experience the negative the bad part of the two to understand all of it and what it's all about it's not so much that we might deserve something or don't deserve something but it is we have to experience it to get through it to understand it to live our lives in certain ways so you have to just accept it get yourself through it and just keep moving on I've done a lot of many good things for people and I've had to pay a lot of prices for doing those good things it makes no sense sometimes but at the same time it does

God gives a lot of blessings to us sometimes we don't realize what he gives us. He also gives us challenges. Which helps us grow. He never gives us anything that we cannot handle. He has faith in us and capable of handling. He doesn't expect you to fail. He expects all to succeed with all challenges given. Some are a little bit longer than others. When you have a down moment you always go to God and ask for his help to pull you up. He does help us with our trials all we have to do is ask him to help us along the path. Have faith and love and the Savior Jesus Christ. You will always bless you for that. Have a strong testimony of Christ.

Given the sheer number of truly awful people who have gotten various gifts like money, long lives, etc when other more virtuous people suffer and die I don’t think he was correct. He may have been ignorant instead of a liar but he was still wrong.


Also just read god testing Job in a petty bet with Satan for a biblical example of god not favouring his chosen ones by giving them blessings.

Yes, I see dirtbags all the time getting rich and really good people usually get screwed over. I think God pretty much is giving us free will for good or bad. Maybe we are one big social experiment for a supreme being?
