Doesn't God send abortive women to hell unless they truly suffer from remorse before death?
1.4K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. Commandment 6: You shall not murder. You can lawyer and rationalize all you want but dats da fact, as the preacher would say.
unless they truly suffer from remorse before death
When we die, we await the final resurrection and final judgement. Without *confession, *repentance and *asking G0d for forgiveness of the sin of murder, (which He will freely give), you are subject to final judgement; not torture in eternal damnation, but Spiritual Death, which is eternal separation from The Creator. G0d knows if we are forthright and not BS-ing Him.
The period of time we are in the ground or in a jar is called, in Greek, Phulake (purification) loosely translated Purgatory in Catholic-ese. followed by resurrection, judgement and "ascension into "Heaven", if we make the cut. Our Soul/Spirit/Essence is rejoined with The Creator, indivisible from Him.
We don't stand around in choir robes singing hymns. Its not like they present it in the movies. Nobody is looking down on us and smiling. They are in the ground, waiting until the Final Judgment aka Day of Reckoning, aka Day of the Lord. Don't like it? That's just the way it is.

1 yGod blessed them and said to them, “BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY; fill the earth and subdue it.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart""I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful"" Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh"
"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge"
It doesn't sound like killing our babies was what he had in mind. Getting married, being fruitful, being faithful, having families, not committing adultery. Not, going on more trips and partying more, sleeping around (WHOREMONGERS AND ADULTERERS GOD WILL JUDGE), and killing the growing baby if sleeping around ends up causing a kid and ruining your freedom and partying and travel and drinking.
Hell? It says everyone has earned hell unless we repent so abortion can be forgiven through Jesus like any other sin, but if people reject the free gift then they get whatever justice is due to them for the life they've led.

You kill animals, you can kill in wars.. it doesn't say don't take a fetus piece of shit out of a pussy..
Asker1 yIt is not just taking. It deliberately kills tge unborn.
- 1 y
It's not a person yet so really it doesn't matter, people have miscarriages all the time..
Asker1 yMiscarriage is not deliberately killing the unborn.
Born people die all the time too. I guess according to your logic killing them shouldn't matter too.- 1 y
No one knows the baby so it isn't important its different with a born and live baby or person..
- 1 y
You are killing what could be not what is.. since a baby born at that time will not survive outside the womb.
Asker1 yNot knowing someone personally doesn't mean killing is ok. I don't know all the 8 billion people but that doesn't mean killing any stranger is ok unless for self defense
- 1 y
No one knows it and no one loves it.. so it isn't important to anyone in the world. If you kill an ant does anyone care? No. It isn't a living breathing person it is a micro organism that can develop into a human. The bible says if two guys gets into a fight and accidentally falls into a pregnant lady and she loses the baby he has to pay a small fine to the parents, if the pregnant lady gets hurt or dies he will be punished the same way a life for a life. Unborn babies are not as important as a live human being.
- 1 y
Also god knows all so if abortions were banned they would be mentioned as a bad thing to do.
Asker1 yYou shall not kill refers to human beings. An ant us not a human being.
Pretending that a fetus is a dufferent organism won't change God's morals. You can't stop God from. sending abortive women to hell, can you?
"The bible says if two guys gets into a fight and accidentally falls into a pregnant lady and she loses the baby"
ACCIDENTALLY losing is not abortion. Abortion is DELIBERATELY killing the fetus. A fetus has a soul given by God.- 1 y
I don't see it as a life since it doesn't exist on it's own..
But I also don't personally care since I am not god, and I don't really care what others do.. a bitch is going to hell anyways since how is she pregnant with a baby she don't want unless she was fornicating and being a whore? We are all going to hell regardless since we all sin.. no one will be saved not even you.

3.8K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. Not Christian. But to be fair the issue isn't around religion or abortion. It's about the politics of choice, and consequences.
Currently in the US, if a woman is dying due to a dead foetus going sceptic, then she cannot "abort". Both the hospital and her will get in trouble, if she lives.
So the hospital and her have to make a "choice" to abort the baby another way off the records, so to speak. That is a lot of cost and extra management for both to deal with.
As for "abortive women" - they tend to have home or backroom births/abortions anyway. So it makes little difference if it's legal or not, as most cannot afford the usual medical bills.
Asker1 yNope. Very few women would get unsafe abortions. Let's not underestimate women's mental capacities.
Suffering remorse means nothing… Thou shalt not kill is one of the Ten Commandments. Salvation comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. The only way to have that relationship is by accepting Him as Lord and savior. Paul writes in the book of Roman that if you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead then you will be saved.
Without salvation a person can suffer remorse until death and still go to hell. No on can earn there way out of hell. Salvation is a free gift for those who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.01 Reply
Asker1 yThat is still not a thing if she is glad she got an abortion

1 yIn Christianity salvation is via trusting belief in Jesus. Perfect adherence to God's will would be great, but is not achievable this side of eternity. His death is seen as an infinite sacrifice and is the dividing line.
That said, I dislike selective abortion, but do not trust government with the power over the issue.
Biblically, it might seem clear to many, but for crimes worthy of death it is never said that if she is pregnant the penalty must be postponed so I am not so sure.00 Reply - 2.1K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic.
u 1 yNo. Abortion is contrary to both natural and divine law. It is objectively evil and cannot be approved or condoned by any Christian.

Asker1 y. I have read many responses of Christians who are initimidated by pro choice atheists critique of forcing religous beliefs. So in order to be "respected" and praised by such atheusts these Christians say "I as a Christian wouldn't get an abortion but I want women to choose what to do with their bodies".
They want to get win win situation. Not to displease God but at the same- 1 y
What they don't realize is that the whole "don't force your beliefs" bit is itself a form of, if you will, "evangelization". And many of them fall for it.
1 yI got to wonder if there is a God, it doesn't seem to give a shit about abortion. I mean it could start some fires or something... nothing though.

Asker1 yHe judges after our death
- 1 y
Well then... that's pretty convenient. It's things like that that makes it hard for me to accept the religious side of arguments. It's too faith based and backed by little more than "because the bible says it's so" types of logic. As for being pro-choice though... I can see lowered crime rates and point at other statistics that can be strongly correlated. I mean I still think maybe they shouldn't engage in baby making behavior unless they're ready for babies or at least check out other birth control methods if they just have to engage in inconsequential sex. But it is usually one less mouth on welfare services or a victim of being an unwanted child.
But I can't support or argue against something like "He judges after our death." Where you get that from? other humans that just happen to talk to God? Sure... I'll just have to take your word on that I suppose. Realistically we don't know if he is ultra down with abortion or not... or if he's even real.
Asker1 yI started to believe in heaven and hell at 28.
At 23 I considered the probability of afterlife. Before that I didn't believe in it at all. I didn't even think of it lol- 1 y
Well, I'll respect your spiritual journey even if I can make sense out of it. This topic of abortion though seems to be on the top of my Mom's mind. Keeps texting my wife about how she wishes she aborted me for like the last 3 days. lolz, all I can do is laugh at it and roll with the punches.
Asker1 yWhat kind of mother wishes their kid stopped existing?

She suffers from heavy narcissism. Add Facebook and she slowly just went completely crazy. I've had to block her, my two sisters also had to block her. Just another victim of social media I guess. I've noticed narcissistic people don't fare well with social media... especially when they didn't grow up with it.
Anonymous(36-45)1 yChristan here who's politically pro choice and personally pro life. While God doesn't support abortion, he does support forgiveness for those who are remorseful about having an abortion and ask God for forgiveness. by the way, I'm politically pro choice because Jesus taught his followers not to cast judgement on others.

how do you call someone who doesn't abide by his own rules?
Asker1 yHis rules aka commandments are written for human beings.
We are human beings. We are not God.- 1 y
also if something is morally wrong, it's wrong no matter who does it.
Asker1 yNo matter WHO which human being does.
I agree.- 1 y
he's higher than us. so his rules should be more strict, not less strict. cause we're more flawed than he is.

i don't make exceptions for god. god doesn't get a free pass for being an asshole just cause he's god.

let me ask you this: is it ever ok to kill someone?
Asker1 yHe is the one who takes away lives and decides where each soul should go after death depending on their own sins.
Asker1 yIt is never ok for any human being to kill a human being.

well there you go. your morals are better than your gods morals. you're a good person.

well if i punch you in the face, you'd call the cops. if god punches you in the face, you just go "he must have his reasons". don't you see that some things just aren't ok no matter the reason for it?

@marish01
So if we produce 1 000 000 embryos on a cellular level in lab then we also commit genocide if we torch them in a oven after the test is over?
Also tell me if we make a ant/human hybrid, at what percentage does it have a soul or is soulless.
Like is it fine to experiment on embryos that are 1% ant? And what if we have have a ant colony that is 1% human?
Anyway a god didn't bother mentioning abortion specifically either because he doesn't care that much or because the texts are written by human authors.
by the way our brains don't have a part for a soul IRL.
