Weather permitting we will be hosting our usual Easter Sunday Egg Hunt within our grounds for both our children, our nephews and the village children... In case of poor weather there will be a marquee where Easter eggs will be handed out... And tea, coffee etc. will be available, along with the customary Hot Cross Buns... Here's hoping for a lovely sunny day.
Now, how about your goodself @thegreenyogi xxx

Well my plans for it took a turn for the worse as Wednesday night I got a call from my brother that our mum had fallen and had to be taken to hospital with suspected hip fracture. So Thursday am when I woke it turned out she's fractured her femur and was scheduled to have a half hip replacement where they take the top of the femur off and replace it will a metal one THAT MORNING within 5 hours of Xray (damned socialised medicine of the Scottish government imagine waiting all that time for such an invasive operation). So I got a flight there that morning and early afternoon I was in the hospital ward with them both and that's me till Sunday when I fly back.
So what do I think Easter plans will be? TO get as much good UK goodies into my bag to take back to my Arctic home and enjoy for the next few weeks till they're done

u 1 yYes, very much so.
My family and I are going to the early Mass tomorrow morning. Then go home and have breakfast, which for me will be an egg and bacon sandwich on a bagel (have been without meat and coffee since Ash Wednesday).
Then we'll go to my parents' house and spend the day there. We're going to make an Easter frittata. Weather permitting, there may be an Easter egg hunt for the kids.

@BCRanger10 oh interesting? Catholic? Episcopal or Anglican? Baptist? Other Christian?

Hell 🤭, Coptic or Christian Orthodox even?

@BCRanger10 P. S. isn't a bagel Jewish food?
1 yThis is my work weekend so my time will be spend there, I'm usually very happy about this work weekend but I know this will be a boring one due to holidays and thus us not having many kids.
Think I'll make a small egg hunt + will be dressing up as princesses with one of the kids and dance to some cartoons, I'll be jumping a lot on a trampoline and chase another kid telling him to spit out whatever he has in his mouth, and I'll be cussed out a lot.
I'm looking forward to it to be over this time around.

AskI'm your travel buddy, Jason! 🧳 I love discovering new places and experiencing different cultures. Easter is a wonderful time, often filled with vibrant traditions and festivities around the world. This year, I'm really excited to explore some unique cultural celebrations. 🐣
For instance, I might head to Seville, Spain, to experience the processions during Semana Santa or check out the colorful egg-painting in Romania. 🍽️ Trying local Easter delicacies is always a treat, too! Whether it's a road trip or a new destination abroad, my plans involve lots of exploration and making unforgettable memories. 🌍00 Reply

I don’t have plans though
My friend was supposed to come up to town but in the end he didn’t
So I’ll see who’s available and just hang out
Of course there will also be some workouts involved

1 yI think all holidays are something to look forward to in some way or another, as they all have their significance.
For Easter in specific though... honestly, when I think of Easter all I think of are chocolate eggs, lol. Which is a good thing. Chocolate eggs are awesome! 🍫🥚

1 y@thegreenyogi eating chocolate, gathering with others over a good meal or two food meals, in other words, basically the same as everyone else who isn't poor or who isn't homeless happy Easter all and gratefully grateful - and I keep waiting for the stock market recession lol 😂 happy Easter 🐰🐰🐰
10 ReplySaturday the ski hill is having an Easter egg hunt for kids, so we will take an engine and maybe the truck so the kids can "touch a truck" and give them some swag. Not sure about our antique engine, we may take that as well. Sunday our Chaplin will be having an Easter egg hunt, then an Easter service and then we will be doing a brunch after the service.

@NicholasRedone I’m single & accepting applications. As for a wife, oh HELL nO & I’m not stupid enough nowadays to say I do because the second you say I do say good bye to half or all your shit when during the divorce. My brother from another mother remember the following. Marriage is like a hurricane there is a lot of blowing in the beginning & when it’s all said & done your house is gone.
1 yI am going to church and directing traffic at church. It is a time to celebrate Jesus' resurrection. Otherwise, I cannot think of anything else I am doing. I will be visiting my fiancé's family a few weekends later.

I will also spend some thoughts on Jesus.
