What is the best thing about the Easter holidays in your personal opinion?

For me it's dinner with friends. I have zero involvement with religion. Easter is just another common holiday and a chance for a nice meal and recognition of the return of spring.

Yes and no.

I haven't been a big Easter person since the mid-2000s since my parents had no grandkids. My father died 23 years ago. My sister, mother, and I all live 100s of miles apart. My wife's sons celebrate - if they celebrate - with their spouse's families. So, it's usually just my wife and me. And aren't exactly church-goers.

So, Easter hasn't really been a thing for me since about the mid-2000s when we celebrated over at my sister's house or her ex-husband's siblings' homes. I did get engaged on Easter 2001, though, at my sister's sister-in-law's house.

That said, there is a very good chance that this will be my last Easter. I suspect I am terminally ill. I see the oncologist on 22 APR.

I do find humor in people getting scammed into buying Easter eggs, I'd say I enjoy that part. Look at the grams you are getting for the price it's absurd.
I saw one that was £12 yet only 300grams meanwhile a chocolate bar would be 200grams for £2, even cheaper Easter eggs that are 1.50 you'd get more from normal bars.
It's a fascinating study of human's psychology and wasting their own money while complaining they have no money.

If ya couldn't guess I'm a cynic about these things.

I asked a lady in my church "Last year, how did you celebrate Easter?" She blinked a lot! Trying to remember and after a pause hurriedly blurted out "I am not catholic" in very fast speaking, perhaps feeling defensive. So i agreed with her no holiday. The best part is painting eggs.

My Easter tradition was I used to love watching the Ten Commandments right before Easter Sunday but it doesn't come on TV anymore at least not the Saturday before Easter Sunday which is a bummer.
