When i died for a few seconds at first i was very confused because i was conscious but could not move any body part even when i tried. Then when i started flying towards the ceiling i had an idea of what was going on i was dead or dying. The story goes much further then that but i will leave it at that.

I do not know if this qualifies but, in 2013 I had to have a triple bypass. 50 years of Type One Diabetes, (90)+ percent stenosis on all three major coronaries. Evidently After two rounds of De-fib I was being resistant to coming back. The story get cloudy because I am relying on the Chaplain and the Surgeon for details. But I can tell you that I was surprised when I woke up in a Hospital bed. You are aware that you are not "Home" but you really could not care less. I saw nothing, no wall or barrier. But I got an earful considering that I was only ":there" for about 45 seconds. When I returned to my hospital bed I was confused. It all dawned on me that time for me had stopped and started again. I tried at that point to make sense of what happened. The voice I heard was not angry or condescending. But clearly said " Stop Trying To Be Perfect, You Can't Be". "Go Enjoy The Rest Of Your Life." "Reread the Book of Genesis" "Nobody Has It Right Yet". And I woke up in my Hospital Room. I really want to get my OR record and see how long I was 'Gone"and to what extent I resisted Defibrillation. Changed. Look up Ego Death.

Maybe is our reality just a simulation. When we die we find ourselves in our real existence and remember on the simulation run we had.
Ancient Slavic belief contained reincarnation. There are two worlds. Java (the consciousness world) Nav (the underworld). After death human soul/essence goes into Nav and sleeps until it will be reborn again.
Everyone of us will experience that but no one can say what is on another side. I experienced the flash where you remember your life short time before you face death while a motorbike accident. I wouldn't believe that if I wouldn't experience that. Maybe are reports of people who went further after clinical death true as well. Lot of them said after passing the light they felt like it was their real life and their existence in reality where their dying body is felt like fake.

The only reason anyone finds the idea ridiculous is the confusion of exoteric mytnological tales vs the object that they point to and symbolize. Although nowadays people are really dimb enough to believe in the literal interpretation of the 7 day creation, or the hindu version of reincarnation involving your same soul incarnating in animal's physical bodies. None of these make sense, our soul itself is a human soul and only incarnates in human form, while body is evolving and devolving slowly into other forms.

I'm thinking yes they will. But for the unsaved, it will not be pleasant. Christians to immediately into the presence of the Lord. The unsaved will go to Hades to await the day of judgement. They will know where they are either way. Between the two is a great gulf that no one can cross, yet you will be able to see the ones in Heaven, according to the story of Lazarus and the Rich Man. I'm sure none of these matters to 90% of the people, who don't even believe in either place.

Yes. I died briefly after a car accident and had to be revived. I watched myself be revived and when I described to the doctor what I saw he said there's no way you could see that because you were dead.

@Iron_Man The judgement for the unrighteous doesn't take place until after the 1,000-year reign of Christ on Earth. The unrighteous are kept in Hades until that time. The believers never get judged except for rewards which takes place during the 7 year Tribulation. It all explains it in Revelation.

Good Q! Unfortunately, there is NOT a lot of evidence from previously 'dead' people. But anecdotally, people who have flatlined and come back suggest that there is a place beyond our world that seems to have different values, like time is irrelevant.

We may never know the answer to this Q unless science advances.
