Do people know they dead when they die?

For example if somewhere were to die in their sleep they wouldn’t wake up anymore lol so do they know if they dead? 😂

Some religious people say that when a person dies, they drop their body and their soul goes into a new world. Maybe it's heaven, hell, some other place. And I'm assuming that our soul will know our body is dead but they themselves are still alive.

Not as secularists or vulture means it as ghost, some energy release etc. A Soul is the overseer of the mind and body and behavior. Some describe Soul as intellect, mind as brain or CPU, and body as machine. The overseer, in a spirit form, leaves the body while mind/body rot in the ground. Make sense⁉️

No. People often know they are dying, but after death they no longer exist and it's meaningless to ask if they know they are dead.

Probably not. Their brain stops functioning
