Partly. I think it's true mostly for people who do not have a religious faith and don't have families. Once you're in your mid 20s and early 30s, the thrill of living is gone. Yet life continues. You start realizing your limits. You either lose your sense of direction or you forget that a world outside your work, your phone and social media, and the bars exists.
