Agnostic is not a separate or midway position between theism and atheism. (A) Gnosticism is about knowledge or claimed knowledge. (A) Theism is about belief, and belief is binary. One either believes or one does not, there is no middle ground. There's an easy way to prove that.

1) Make a list of each and every god that you believe in.
2) Count the number of names on the list.

If n = 0, then you are an atheist.
If n >= 1, then you are a theist.

There are no other possibilities.

Agnostics claim that they don't know if god exists or not.
So, they don't believe in any god, but they are not claiming that god doesn't exist (unlike atheists).

Atheism and theism are a dichotomy. That little a in front of theism means not. It's kind of like being pregnant, you either are or you aren't. You either believe something or you don't. Unless you're trying to tell me that it's possible that you believe in Santa Claus but you're just not aware of it.

Now if you can come up with a way to tell me that the number of gods you believe in is somewhere between 0 and 1, I'd love to hear it. Is that what you're trying to say?

Agnostic. For as much bluster that religious and non religious throw around its a question that can not be answered. So while I don't believe in God I acknowledge I can't prove it, nor can anyone else, so therefore I'm Agnostic. The scope of the universe is so grand that our mind can not possible understand it all. It's like an ant trying to make sense of the entire world and all that lies in it. Not going to happen. So if there is a god he'd be so far beyond any of our comprehension that it's not even worth the time to think about because we could never understand.
