Because they have magic powers haven’t you ever seen the flying nun lol. No but seriously it just want they wear and their strict and how stern they are. There are spiritually connected with god and they say god was pretty ruthless but compassionate too and they try to live that way.

I went to catechism until I got confirmed. There was one grouchy old nun there named Sister Geramine (sp?). She earned that scary mean reputation.

I admire their commitment to Jesus, but think they mostly live in the distant past. I admire more the ones that don't wear those archaic habits.
