What Jesus is allegedly saying is that there are no pockets in a shroud. Your time in the world will end, no matter if you're rich, poor, a maga, or educated - everyone will die and then you move onto the next life.

Therefore it's pointless to spend too much time toiling over worldly things and ending up sad like you. Aim for better with good intentions, and God will give better.

Well Christianity was a mystery religious cult. The Roman empire had many of them in antiquity. But is it a cult really? No. If you read your Bible it tells you in Genisis 6:5 "The lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually". The point is to remind us of our evil nature without God's guidance. He isn't saying choose between the world an him. Far from it. He's saying choose God's word over man. This is the single biggest mistake non Christians make about Christianity. You have free will. God doesn't want to control you. He wants you to choose him. Because he knows what's best for you (after all he created everything you see around you). Cults do not foster free will.
