Awesome ones being Sovereignty, Love, Mercy, Grace which all together the 7 sum into your answer.
Mercy: not getting what one deserves.-Unlike Karma where one always gets what one deserves.
Grace: getting what one does not deserve. Great Riches At Christ’s Expense. Without a perfect lived (sinless) life and Substitutionary Atonement, we Christians would not be able to withstand the Judgement or Wrath grounded in an expectation of Holy for His created. Jesus the Christ, if you believe in and through Him, meets those standards so that you are cleansed at Judgment. Basically, Father sees you as His Son standing before Him.
Mercy and Grace are also a shared experience for those who are at enmity (unsaved) with Him. We all get a chance to repent (turn away from) and unto Him. This is both Mercy and Grace at work.
Grace for unsaved: unsaved get rain, relationships, good jobs, kids, flowers, stock market, residences, 401 K etc… When the last time someone that you were at enmity with gave you something that benefits you. Love of God.

Let’s do some thinking, please ‼️‼️ Only One who would take the time to do this world and you has to possess those Attributes. And, like you said, you were made in the Image of God. Those Attributes-to-attributes are known as Communicable Attributes. These are those that we can express to some degree. Sovereignty is not on as freedom and Sovereignty are not the same.
The one confirms the other.-You got the Image of God part, however the Attributes have been secularized into attributes.
You were in fact created.
What you think, Something can come from Nothing? If there ever was Nothing there world be Nothing now. Obviously there is Something now so there was Something to begin with. And please, don’t tell me Spontaneously came into Being (Sagan). Oh I forgot, we Big Banged ourself into Evolution….
If we did Big Bang, how did resting mass, resting motion, and resting energy get there? What caused the resting states? What Prime Mover or First Cause moved those resting states into Motion or Activity. What caused the effect known as the Big Bang.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, how did those resting states get there? There has to be both a Creator and Prime Mover, God since everything else ends in a linear regress.(.9999). It’s NOT every cause has has cause as that continues into infinitude. It’s every Effect has a case. Simply looking around and seeing the Intelligent Design dictators a Creator or Intelligent Designer.
The same Creator, God, that expresses Himself generally or naturally must have attributes such as Love, Sovereignty, Mercy, Grace, Wrath, and Judgment. In fact those same attributes are intelligently designed and revealed throughout. You have testified to it…. recognized it yourself.
Jesus was a man better known as God-man who walked our walk without error, therefore, an error free atoning substitution for a world full of created with Free Choice error makers. And like Him, we possess what is called Communicable Attributes.-please search it.

+1 yWell, the Bible doesn't really address this (in any depth, at least), and God hasn't told me personally; my theory is that the reason behind it was to gain OUR forgiveness, and to prove the legitimacy of His new deal. Look at Passover- the celebration isn't "We were saved from slavery!", it's "God chose not to kill us while saving us from slavery!". It looks VERY much like what you'd see in an abusive relationship- God has the power, and will freaking DESTROY you if you don't worship Him just right, up to and including sacrificing your own children if so demanded.
By the time Jesus enters the picture (on Earth, at least), God has learned to empathize, and stop seeing His people as slaves to tyrannize. But since He's looking to spread His message to all of humanity, instead of just one tribe with a great penchant for argument and debate (there have probably been more Jews than Christians or Muslims who've questioned whether Abraham made the call God wanted, or whether He hoped to be told to get bent), He has to adopt a more universally accepted standard, and actually put His ass on the line.
It also showed the importance of forgiveness, and just how much earning it can cost. Telling humanity that it's important to forgive one another is one thing; proving it by dying a terrible death (crucifixion kills you by suffocation; Jesus' three hours was VERY fast- it normally takes DAYS) is quite another. Talk is cheap. Then, too, it demonstrated the degree of commitment that the faith might call for; many, MANY people over the centuries have died far more awful deaths for the sake of Christianity.
As an added bonus, it showed that even Death itself couldn't stop Jesus. My faith is based on the message, but some people are more convinced by the miracles. Better to go big and grab everybody.00 Reply
+1 yIn time you will find your answer buddy. Just remember God and Jesus loves you more than you will ever know.
Jesus did die that day, but he did not he rose three days later. He went to the town to show everyone and raise to the sky because of him we can be forgiven. Admit, commit, and Believe in name of Jesus Christ. Somethings you have to sacrifice in order to prosper or what. I have made so many sacrifices in my life and been in so much pain, but in the end, it all has a purpose. God did it out of love and Jesus wanted too to save us all because we are loved. ( I hope that help and help you understand some) one day you can ask him that question. Just know he is always listening and by your side.14 Reply- +1 y
Yes, have faith in God and Jesus. But you can always talk to him, out loud, in your head, praying in church, in your bedroom, or anywhere you like. He is always listening and always there. He always loves it when you do, you are his child. I hear God talk to me before when bad things were happening to me growing up. Everything happens for a reason and serves a purpose, even if it's bad or good it all does.

Jesus never sins because of that he dies to save us from our sin. In the beginning, we sin by eating the apple and getting kicked out of the garden and that made God mad and disappointed, yet sad. ( we are his children and he is the father) He wanted to save us and he sent his only son to die on the cross to die on the cross because he was so perfect. Where we are not. Remember when Jesus was wearing thrown crown and carrying his cross one person gave him food and water and others were throwing rocks and he said: " Father, please don't be mad they don't know what they are doing." He had a purpose in life and we were given a life of salvation because of Jesus Christ God's only son.

You see, only one thing separates us from God – and that is our sin. We can’t erase our own sins, nor can we do anything to make ourselves acceptable to God. If we are to be saved, God alone can do it – and He did, in Jesus Christ! The Bible says, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21). There was no other way for us to be saved, for only in Christ are God’s justice and love fulfilled.
Take time today to reflect on Jesus Christ and His death for you. Then by faith invite Him to come into your life. When He does, He’ll forgive your sins and make you part of His family forever. Don’t let another day go by without Christ.
Does that help answer your question?

+1 yGod requires a blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin. In the Bible He lists the types of animal sacrifice for different types of sins. All those sacrifices did was push the sins off for a period of time. God has rules even HE follows.
Jesus was God Himself. His blood was holy and perfectly innocent. His death was offered as THE ultimate sacrifice for ALL of mankind's sins - past, present, and future. If you believe in Him, and repent of your sins, He is just and will forgive you - because Jesus paid that debt of blood on our behalf! Your belief, your faith is what saves you from eternal damnation.
But... it wasn't only Jesus' death that brings us salvation. His resurrection is what gives us HOPE for OUR resurrection from death into life. Our faith that we shall follow Him gives us hope that even though our body dies, we'll still live!00 ReplyFrom what I understand, a blood sacrifice was always required for the forgiveness of
sin. Christ ended that when he became the ultimate and final blood sacrifice.
And trusting in Christ's ultimate sacrifice as the forgiveness for your sin is the only requirement for entrance into heaven. Simple as that.22 Reply- 4.5K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic.
+1 yGod is Holy and a God of Justice. He just can't forgive sins because that will violate His moral righteous character therefore He had to send His son born of a virgin who lived a sinless life to die of a great sin offering and sacrifice on behalf of all sinners so that by the blood, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ many can be forgiven by His blood who call upon the name of the Lord to be saved.

+1 yHe died for us , but most important he came back to life showing us that when we physically die , that we will still have metaphysical life. In life you are rewarded or punished based on your actions and the way you live your life. We are humans , not robots.
01 Reply Christians don't know the definition of Almighty.
God can definitely forgive our sins without dying on a cross.
Christianity has more in common with the myth of Hercules than Christians would like to admit.01 Reply2.1K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. Because that was the ultimate sacrifice to die for us to save us from our sins if we believe in him and accept him as our personal Lord and Savior and believe that he died on the cross to save us from our sins

+1 yBecause justice was necessary. Sin must be punished. So Jesus, God's son, had to take on the punishment for our sins. Otherwise we would still be in line to be punished ourselves. And that means Hell.

Justice is actually a universal concept.

The principle of Justice comes from God, though.

My best understanding is that Jesus was killed by the Romans for preaching Christianity. Luckier Christians were just fed to the lions. The whole thing about Jesus dying to expunge our sins was a later interpretation to try to explain why the Son of God could be killed by men.
Because he made wine from water instead of whisky.
