If god so loved the world that he killed an innocent prophet, why didn't he kill satan instead? Do you think that's justice?

It would seem that you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the Bible, the role of a Man, Christ and Satan. And that is perfectly understandable because there are so many false teachers that muddle up GOD's Truth creating the confusion. I will try to sum it up, but without context and a lot of study you may still not understand, but that is okay. If you really want to understand ask GOD to reveal the Truth.
After GOD, actually Jesus, created the world, He placed Man in it for the primary purpose of having relationship us. GOD gave us free will but to be truly free you also have to have choices. GOD gave us a choice because He didn't want us to be "robots" in relationship with Him out of requirement because then we would never truly understand Love. Thus the "Forbidden Fruit" enters the story. Satan may or may not have been working on God's behalf when he tempted Adam & Eve. There is room for debate about this because it doesn't say and due to something that happens in the "Book of Job" it is debatable, but anyway, because of the nature of GOD, He can't be in the presence of what He defines as Sin. And due to disobeying God's edict concerning the "Forbidden Fruit" that put Adam, Eve and all their decedents into a state of perpetual Sin. Thus our need of a redeemer which GOD told Adam and Eve would come as He pronounced His judgement for their sins. Since no person could qualify to be the redeemer God had to do it Himself. Thus the Creator took on the life of a sinless man (this is why the virgin birth was important) and sacrificed Himself to Himself on our behalf. He was more than an innocent prophet as you put it. He is unique in that He is the only "Man" born into this world to be a blood sacrifice. The spilling of perfected blood is the only way we can be redeemed for our sins.
Satan could never be that sacrifice because he was never a man and he has committed his own "sin" before GOD. Also GOD can't/doesn't actually completely kill any of His creation something must happen to that energy. While our flesh may die, the part of us that actually matters is immortal and live on. Ever notice that science still can't answer the question of what happens to our energy when we die. The Law of Conservation of Energy is a problem to those who think we just become nothing.
To better understand your question, here are some suggested topics to study:
If you really want to know and understand these answers before you start your quest ask GOD to reveal to you the Truth. It doesn't matter if you believe in Him or not when you ask but if you really want to know He will answer you and I pray you do.
To answer your question about justice, we don't get to define what justice is in this context. That would be like my son telling me he drew a dog on a piece of paper and me arguing with him that it was a sheep. The creator has full power to tell us what something is or is not. The creator defines the rules. We can only try to study the subject and seek to understand the mind of God to put in context from His perspective why events happened as they did. Just like I would have to ask my son what makes his drawing a dog.
Finally, I will add that I am only a lay person and have only studied this subject through bible concordances and while I think I have come to understand GOD's Truth, I could have missed the mark.
The price of sin is death. If you sin, you die... Many offerings were made in tribute for sins in an attempt to pay for sins on blood alters in temples through ritual. Clearly the goal is to get people to be good, not to slaughter everything on Earth in sacrifice while mankind endless sins... No amount of blood sacrifice by man could pay the bill for all man's sins, thus God in the flesh sacrificed his human form to pay the bill and remove the blood sacrifice obligation for those who would follow his word and honor God. Clearly God is infinitely more valuable than a goat or a cow or some pagan. God doesn't want your goat, he wants you to be good. The sacrifice of Jesus is about keeping the father's word that sin must be paid for with death. Jesus in human flesh paid the bill for those who follow him, and was resurrected after.
Go read Genesis 3... It's right there in the story of the forbidden fruit. God provides everything you need, but there are rules God sets. If you break them, you will die. Sin is described in the Bible as transgression of the law of God. There is the way of life and the way of death. To follow God's law and be good is the way of life, to transgress against God is the way of death.
That means not only physical death - we will all die - but spiritual death as well. That means you will either spend an eternity with God or an eternity by yourself. You won't be seeing your friends or anyone else in hell. It will be dark. God is light and sin is darkness. It is your choice to spend it with God's light, or apart from God in the Outer Darkness.
Goku1001 It wasn't me that brought up the Christian religion... You're the one that brought up the Christian religion with your post of imagery of Jesus and reference to God's actions. You questioned why an event occurred... Now you're complaining that someone can actually explain the Christian religion logically to you by using the scriptures of the Christian religion you specifically asked about?
It seems to me, you are the illogical one here. For example if I have a question about chemistry , I reference knowledge stored in chemistry books not in economic books to see if there are logical answers to my question. Only when there are no consistent answers do I need to look outside the text. You asked a question about Christianity, and I pointed you the answers that are stored in the text. Yet you still complain.
I'll explain it to you. The concept of God is common in all religions, whether it be Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam, Judaism, Zoroastrianism (with slight variations). If someone wants to prove the Oneness of God he can prove it from other religions as well, not just from a single religion, why because it is a common thing amongst all religions. Similarly, let's say, hell, it's common amongst all religions, or heaven, or life after death etc. All of these concepts are common amongst all religions. However, someone dying for someone's 'sins' is an alien concept which you cannot prove outside of the bible. I'm looking at common things, but this notion isn't common (let alone logical). It's a vague out of the blue concept. What I feel about this is that the disciples could not handle it that their teacher was hanged on the cross. They could not fathom the fact that a man who used to raise the dead now cannot bring himself down from a cross. For that purpose they made up these stories and started to believe that, the reason why he didn't come down from the cross was because he died for my sins, not being able to accept the fact that he was mere human and not god. So for that purpose they made up different stories... In short they became delusional and now the christians have been following that delusion for over 2000 years... š¤¦š»
If you had actually read Genesis 3 like I asked you to, you would see that when Adam broke the law of God and became aware of good and evil, he felt shame and hid from God. This is the pain of guilt. He had not yet been reprimanded by God for anything he had done, but he knew in his soul, what he had done was wrong. The Holy Spirit is in all of mankind to guide us. When we do evil things, naturally we become self-conscious and feel negative emotions, we feel distress and a sense of failure. Our soul is dying inside... No one has to catch you for you to feel like a piece of shit for something evil you have done. You feel that guilt and regret in your soul even if nobody sees you do it. You know you shouldn't do certain things to others and that you should treat others as you'd like them to treat you. In the Judeo-Christian religion, God is trying to help you lead a righteous life, so you don't feel yourself dying inside. When you are evil, you sink deeper and deeper into despair and that evil snowballs into a larger and larger collection of pain. For those who have repeatedly committed evil actions in life, they feel a constant torment, self hatred, and sorrow. They experience a sort of hell on Earth if they don't find redemption and learn to love and experience joy again. You don't need to read the Bible to understand evil and the pain that arises from it... You can experience endless weeping and gnashing of teeth biting you from every direction if you fall from the path of good...
The story of the messiah comes long before Jesus arrives on Earth. It's not a story that is made up after Jesus is put to death to explain what is happening. You can find this story in Torah long before Jesus shows up.
All religions don't have the same view on morality or what heaven or hell is. For example, in Islam their religious text suggests that it's fine to rape people's wives, have and trade slaves, molest and rape little children, etc. but just the thought of these sorts of actions bring pain, guilt, and disgust to many people here on Earth. We know in our soul these sorts of actions are evil. Yet in Islam, they are fine with it. In Islam their view of Jannah is a place where they have eternal erections and they have freak sex and bust nuts in virgins for eternity. It's not a place that is close to God's love. They follow by just believing in Allah they will go to their version of "heaven" even if they have repeatedly sinned and a Jew or a Christian will die in hell for the Muslim's actions. That is, an innocent good person will be put to death to pay the price of death for the sins of the sinner... There is no self accountability. In general morality, most people would consider that evil. So no it's not consistent across religions. There is major conflict.
Quiet frankly you are mentally challenged. Every time you ask a question or make a statement and someone answers that question or proves your statement false by referencing information that contradicts your position you have an emotional outburst. You're mentally limited and uneducated on the topics you want to debate. Worse yet you're unwilling or unable to learn basic facts about the religion you are challenging. From a pure linguist point of view that would make you stupid to mentally retarded. You're not capable of understanding the questions you are asking.
Being quite honest here, your religion is a delusional religion and overflows with assumptions, why because 4 individuals who did not understand the teachings of Jesus misinterpreted them and wrote 4 books upon which the christians faith is based. You on the other hand propagated those delusions and now it has become a religion. A pathway to hell... It does not make sense and the more you try to make sense out of it, it fails you badly. And the proof is right here in your comments. You were not able to answer my questions through reason and at the end you started being judgmental. Which is the case of all bible thumpers š¹
You're contradicting yourself... That makes you a liar. Not that it wasn't apparent from the get go being that you couldn't even be academically honest about what is stated in the religious texts of Christianity or Islam for example. It just further reinforces my judgement of you. You've exhibited a long chain of abuses when it comes to personal integrity.
Satan/Lucifer was as much Godās child as Jesus was. The difference is Satan had no desire to sacrifice himself for humanity, and Jesus did.
Not to say that it did him much good, the church sucks these days
"killed an innocent prophet?"
Dear, if don't know anything about the Bible, please stop talking rubbish.
Your question is rubbish by itself.
Yes, your question is rubbish.
Because your question is rubbish.
Yup, rubbish question.
Rubbish..
Yup, what a rubbish question it is...
ššš®š®
Rubbish š
I can not express how rubbish your question is.
The first line was dumb and your supporting argument is even dumber.
Sorry to say this, but this is how it is.
If you are an unbeliever or someone who does not know anything about a certain religion, please don't discuss anything about it.
Rubbish...
What's rubbish us your dumb question.
No matter, your question is still rubbish and the dumbest thing I've ever read.
@Pennywise_6
I'm waiting for your next comment that says, 'Rubbish'! š

That doesn't make any sense. Jesus wasn't a prophet, He was an incarnation of God. Satan had nothing to do with the affair, and is a loyal servant of God; he isn't, and never has been, Arhiman. Or Iblis, Baphomet, or Melek T'aus, for that matter.
The point of the Incarnation wasn't redeeming humanity's sins- forgiveness, as ever, is God's to bestow- it was about finally putting deeds to words and showing nobility of intention, rather than just crowing about it and flexing divine muscles.
Then the question is meaningless.
He didn't As I said: he's not Ahriman. Read the book- here's a link: https://bible.usccb.org/bible! Satan shows up only three times: tempting Job to verify his faith, accusing Joshua to test his mettle, and pushing Jesus to see if He'll crack under the strain of His hunger, fatigue, and lust for power. Nothing sinful about any of it. Satan is God's district attorney, not His nemesis.
It is called Faith!
@onedarkcloud faith could be blind also.
No faith is better than blind faith...
The problem happens when one tries to figure out if you have real faith or blind faith. What would be nice is faith in the middle What the bible says was written by man subject to his foibles. And everything was written 2,000 years ago so there is no one around from that time to verify if it is right or wrong So we have faith that it is right or no faith I / e no faith that it is right WE will never know. plus, if He got rid of Satan there would be no good and evil. per say.
@onedarkcloud Why is this so hard to understand? SATAN IS NOT AHRIMAN. Neither the Zarathustran nor the Manichean version.
Please read the Bible⦠then maybe you would understand that Jesus (his son) died for our sins and to reconcile humanity with God. His death was important but the most important part was when Jesus rose from the dead. Only the son of God could do that
What you want satin to die wouldnāt matter, there will always be some other evil to take satins place. That would be a meaningless gesture. You know the saying āthe devil you know is better than the devil you donāt knowā.
There are many types of sons, both spiritual and physical, but we shouldnāt ever be confused by frivolous claims of kinship. Kings claimed to be sons of the gods. Angels are sons of God. Believers are spiritual sons of God and will be bodily resurrected to become sons of God. Christ is the only Son of God.
āSon of Godā was a standard term used throughout the ancient world by leaders like Alexander the Great to establish authority over regions. His successors transferred his claim of authority to establish their own, even though his successors were not physical descendants. Divine rule continued in a magnitude of cases worldwide, like the Greek empire splitting into separate kingdoms or transferal of divine rites by Roman emperors.
Correct!
Oh to answer your first question there are 16 demons mentioned by name in the Bible. Itās only an assumption on my part that any one of those demons would gladly take Luciferās place. My main point was killing Lucifer wouldnāt eliminate evil.
don't question delusional lies and claims about impossible things told to make believe. there's no point to it.
well pretty damn ignorant if they consciously decided to ignore the truth in favor of their chosen lie.
but clearly it seems like god is a solution in search of a problem. and without satan being the problem, god can't be the solution xD
When your question shows you haven't read the Bible and / or asked the Holy Spirit for guidance, then you are already far from the truth. What many do not understand is that when you grow in faith without seeing, eventually you will see and then know the truth. There is a reason why so many believe in the Bible. It was about 2 years before I was presented with the truth (supernaturally).
Only Western Christians believe that Jesus "died". Coptic and Eastern Christians don't.
As for Satan, God is keeping his promise that he will not be punished until The End.
nu uh, both eastern orthodox n coptic taught he died n revived
G0d sacrificed His incarnate self to relieve mankind of blood sacrifice and works righteousness so as to obtain Eternal Life.
If Satan were killed, there would be no evil. And without evil, there would be no good. Think about it.
1, too early for plan
2, justice will come. book revelation.
If God kills Satan that's the end of social control via religious nonsense. Never gonna happen.
It's religion. It doesn't have to make sense.
Fairy tales
@SpaceGalaxy What are you going to say if it's all true? The devil likes you to believe it is all fake. He wants to make as many of God's children to hell with him as he can. He isn't called the father of lies for nothing. š hee hee
