What do you think of the return of the unclean spirit in matthew?

The evil spirit returns and finds the house swept clean and put in order and then brings with it seven new spirits more evil then the first and the final condition of that man is worse then the first.

What I get out of that, is that those who are disloyal and faithless, will use their new purity, holiness and honour to condemn, hate, violate, curse, sabotage, punish, use, exploit, misuse, deceive and oppress those that have less spiritual or social status then them, instead of using their new exaltation to love, sympathize with and understand others, since the disloyalty and neglect they practice, prevents them from developing compassion for others. And because they do not feel compassion for others, they destroy them with their words.

In the end they kill people emotionally and morally, but instead of doing it in the name of sin like they did in the past, they now do it in the name of religion, morality or God.

That is why the man is seven times more evil than he was in the past. He now kills in the name of God, and not in the name of Satan.

I think the return of the unclean spirit happens when a person drives out the evil spirit but doesn’t fill their soul or their heart with the LORD so they’re left unchanged and empty. Their spirit is basically as it was before with the evil spirit the only difference being that the spirit is no longer there. There’s no security put in place to prevent the return of the evil spirit. If they don’t keep their house in order and fill it with something new, the spirit will be able to return and bring more with it. In other words, come as you are but don’t remain that way. Keep your house tidy and protected by having a relationship with Christ.
