I was born in 23th of July 2004. But the year I was born it was 29 days. So that made my zodiac sign cancer right? If it was in 2005 I would be a leo though...

July is 31 days. But in 2004 February had 29 days so that year 22 July was Leo but even if not, 23 July is called Leo.

Born on 22 July depended which year. But your birthday 23 is Leo either way but sun not really in Leo in July so if the 'prediction matches you' as many say, then that itself refuted astrology due to the actual position of stars!
