Do you believe there is a multiverse?

And in it there are different points in our lives where we made different decisions that lead us down different paths but then the end goal is still the same in the end or better?

I believe in it a bit because of deja vu. I don't get it often but when I do, it's an eerie feeling like this has happened before. A glitch in the Matrix if you will.

I know it's probably just all sci-fi really but it's a cool theory nevertheless.

I think it's possible, not just parallel Universes similar to our Universe, but maybe also other dimensions/realms with different laws of physics, chemistry and biology.

I know the deja vu feeling, sometimes... it actually helped me.

I wonder what the other me is doing right now in one of the parallel Universes, maybe he's happy, has a wife and children, big house and a nice car... Multiverse theory is definitely intriguing.

Okay, okay. A couple of points speaking as a physicist... okay I'm not a physicist but I do have a four year undergraduate degree majoring in math physics sooo...

1. Yes it is possible. You can tell stories about the universe branching into multiple universes every time a quantum state needs resolving. Which is roughly, give or take, constantly. So that's a LOT of universes. Some dudes showed the maths of the universe we are in are consistent with that story. But...

2. It's just a story. By definition anything that happens outside our universe you cannot know anything about and cannot affect you. It's like asking what happened before the universe? There is no answer because time, concepts of before and after, were created as part of the universe.

3. There are simpler stories you can tell about how the universe works that are consistent with the maths. Simpler in the sense that they only need one universe... the one universe we actually see. So you don't gain anything by assuming a multiverse.

As a scientific theory I put it on the same shelf as belief in God. If you enjoy the idea and it does work for you then go for it. If it doesn't then don't. There is never going to be any evidence of it either way.

I'm open to the idea of it. I don't cross it out entirely. Going a little off on a tangent here, but I don't think time has a beginning or and end. I think things always just... existed. And humans can't fathom that concept. The concept of eternity. They think something has to have come from something else. But in the case of the universe, I don't think that's true.

I started down the road we all start. As I was going I saw that a group of people when one way. Always being independent I want to go down the road less traveled so on I walked. I came to a large road where almost every footstpep had gone before. Looking ahead I saw a small set of fottprints so went strainght. The going ws tough, the path was barely there fight bushes and nidges and all sorts of things I knew would be gone when I reached the truth. Then a field opened up, my heart flew like a hawk and rounded the corner. Turn out the road less traveled led me back to the start.

I don't think pearl universes exist where versions of ourselves make different decisions than we did. Maybe other universes with different mechanics different forces exist but I don't think in some universe sits me with dark hair and write this comment just because I imagine it.

We all find our way home eventually so it doesn't really matter what path we take to get there. 😊

And it is a Matrix but not like in the movie and this is the part where I'll shut up or I'll just keep going on and on about quantum physics and stuff. 😳

Thats two different things to me, multiverse is there is a universe for every choice you make. Thats not neccesarily something I believe is a reality. But we have observed that at least on a quantum level choices can be reverted. So to me time isn't linear and I had the feeling that sometimes I got sent back in time a few days or weeks to do something over.

I think there is another universe to universes but they aren't copies of ours.
Only way that would happen is infinite monkey theorem applies to all universes but I don't think it does.
And deja vu is just a normal brain function that's contained to our memories so I don't see what that'd have to do with another universe at all.

There may be quantum parallel universes which unfold with every act you take.
It seems like some dreams I have had reflect a different reality than I live in. In one, I was arguing a case in court. In another I was combat military. It seemed real. My shoulder was briefly sore from an injury I experienced in the dream.

If someone believes in a multiverse than he can believe in a metaverse or omniverse... etc hehe

There is no matrix and there are no glitches, it's all in our minds and if there's a glitch, it's in our mind too!

It's all about how each person's consciousness perceives the reality or the things that he/she sees!

Some scientific theories are more credible and easier to understand if multiverses exist. So many Sci-Fi movies and TV shows use the multiverse concept... maybe they're onto something.

No, I don't. The theory never had strong evidentiary support in the physics community, and over time there have been a number of strong arguments against it.

Deja vu has many other explanations that don't require a multiverse.

Yeah, I do, though not that the end results are the same. But yeah, I do. I've tried to find proof of it before. But I've experienced too many weird things for it to simply be a coinscidence. There is far more to the universe than we know.

I believe in a pre determined life cycle; but i also believe in free will. If someone deviates from the course of their life plan, the end result could be different. I'm careful to just go with the flow and not take any risks.

No I don't, because the human brain isn't capable of making multiple decisions. Arguably it doesn't make decisions at all, it just reacts to outside stimuli.

I saw rick morty it has multiverse and showed how dumb the idea is. Especially if universe is infinite line to each side, there is no place for a parallel one. Just to make fiction interesting, marvel and star trek used it.
