I sprinkle some salt on my dinner, 100 grains fall upon it. The multiunverse theory predicts in another it will be 99, and 98, and 101 and so on, everything from 0 grains to billions of grains. Somewhere my copy is driving a dumper truck full of salt to dump on their dinner.

I think almost anything is possible. So many things seem impossible until proof is finally discovered, and there is a rational explanation after all. I lean towards believing there are parallel universes, but am open to the possibility that there may not be. I do believe there are other dimensions than this one that we pass through in the journey of the soul. Perhaps the multiverse theory will provide the vocabulary for that concept.

Seems highly unlikely that every single quantum event creates an entirely different universe. Where would all the new mass and energy come from? And given the number of quantum events in the universe every second, the number of alternate universes out there would be a ridiculously high number, a number totally beyond any possible contemplation.

The universe that we experience seems to be pretty rationally constructed. I find it doubtful that something insanely wild like multiverse theory is a feature of it.

It would be like going to McDonald's and finding Ebola on the menu. It just doesn't fit with the rest of what we see.

But it wouldn’t be part of our universe, it would be a different universe. It falls in the same vein as the butterfly effect, which seems to be somewhat accurate from a psychological standpoint

Well let's be clear what we're talking about. Do you mean a multiverse like in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Parallels"? Where every possible different universe exists?

I mean a multiverse as described by Stephen Hawking. A multitude of universes that are separated not just by individual actions but base differences like humans that aren’t carbon-based.
