If every single on this earth went outside and started shouting for Jesus to return to Earth and he doesn't, then there will be no doubt that it's a lie. I doubt he wouldn't show up if billions of people simultaneously screamed his name. It's too many people

The Word of God/Angel of the Lord has always been here and always will be. He wasn't just with humanity when he was in the flesh.

While the world does not see him, believers do because believers are in him and he is in believers. He will manifest himself to those who genuinely love him. This is why when you see someone who genuinely loves God, and has a genuine desire to know the Truth (but may be in the wrong religion out of being born into the wrong culture), will often be visited by Jesus (Angel of the Lord) in dreams with messages to give guidance. They may not ever have read the Bible, but they will be given biblical messages that they can confirm in the Bible that show them the way to Truth.
