You don't understand how he is coming back. He is coming back as God, with all his power, authority, and judgement. He isn't the prophet in human form.

But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.

If the heavens are to be interpreted as aliens visiting desert cavemen. Yeah, we're about to have Jeezelbub get out of that physics defying pill ship. All that alien declassification is going to end up having Jesus show up as a galactic diplomat. Probably way better to hope for than some ancient 10 nation conflict to just carry on in an arid region on our little mud ball.

I think some people might. But no clue who. Jesus himself probably knows someone or a group of people would try to kill him again. I mean, people were ordered to kill him the day he was born (which didn't happen because Mary went into a barn).

Well God is supposed to return as the lion instead of the lamb this time. So I don't know how fast God's intensity will be. The Bible makes it sound like at the moment of his return the world will be in such turmoil that it'll be almost instantly. So yeah, I think Satan's armies. Those seduced by lucifer will try to kill him. My guess is most people (even "Christians" won't even know or accept what is happening till we are well into it. Because the Bible says that not even the angels in heaven know of the hr. Of Christ's return.
