Are Christians who glorify hate and violence worshipping a false God?

Jesus said the people of God would have their faith tested by false prophets who could perform miracles.

I have met people who say they are religious and can perform miracles, but they treat strangers like garbage and worship money, beauty, social status, and hate.

I believe these people have incorrect ideas on what the bible teaches, and because they do not understand the real meaning of scripture, they view God as a God of violence and trauma and not as a God of mercy and kindness.

Since they worship a fake God who hates others, and not a real God who loves others, they traumatize other Christians with lies about God’s will, and with violent prayers for bad things to happen to innocent people.

Are Christians who glorify hate and violence worshipping a false God?
