What is your opinion of people who believe they are religious when they act like God haters?

There was a Christian prayer group at my school that was banned for expressing hateful messages about other Christians and belief systems at my school.

The guys who ran the group would only let good looking, intelligent, confident, healthy, strong and popular Christians join their prayer ministry. If a disabled or depressed or abused or caring person tried to join, they would make up lies about their character and religious beliefs to prevent them from being accepted by the group.

These people worshiped money, social status, food, beautiful women, financial success, and social popularity and hated people who were religious but weak and fragile. While judging others over 300 times a day, they would post daily about how much worship, praying, fasting and bible reading they did.

I could write why these people act like God hating atheists, but the post would be 50 pages long.

Have you considered that non religious people are not religious because of the behaviour and attitudes of religious people?
