What are your thoughts on people who put others down for their religious beliefs?

I'm not a fan. I have no religious beliefs. I have no problem, unless those religious beliefs are simply being used to justify unjust things. There are the problems In i nd ia. And the Middle East. There are problems in the US. There are cases where someone's "religious' beliefs are being used as a justification for terrible things.

I don't have any respect for these versions of religious beliefs ironically because they put down others for their religious beliefs.

See, that's why I avoid the whole religion thing.

Most of the time, I see the latter with the common attitude being, "My beliefs make me better than you". Same kind of insincere, garbage mentality political hobbyists have.

People usually hold onto religion as a comfort. Why knock someones comfort?

Certain religions promote morally objectionable concepts. Not everyone knows the religion they claim to follow all that well. If you can prove their religion promotes horrible deeds by your society's standards, and those religious followers defend those horrible deeds rather than doubt their religion, it would seem they are worthy of criticism. In contrast if you bring light to their religion's evil, and they say I didn't know that. I'm going to do some research and then they question their religion and test it to determine if it is something they should be following that is an entirely different situation. It all comes down to how people react toward criticism of their religion. If you truly believe something, you should know why and you religion should be able to withstand scrutiny. If it can't, then you are probably following a doctrine of poppycock. Truth can defend itself.

So statistically, someone is wrong with their devotion to Godly Entities. Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, Muslim, Paganism, Greek Mythology, Egyptian Faith, Sun God, etc. only one can be truly correct.

As an Atheist who was born into a religious faction, I love those that truly believe & preach the good word from what they believe deep inside to be the true being and follow the way of their religious text even though I personally will never subscribe to it.

You deserve to pray, to give thanks, to do charity work, and be a good person in the name of religion though if you see it as a way to be ‘superior’ and to cast others away as ‘sinful’ then you are not a good person.
