What does “whoever gives water will receive water” mean in the Bible?

What I believe is that the type of gift you give others, determines the types of gifts, God will one day give you.

If you give people wisdom, God will give you wisdom.

If you calm down people when they are in need, God will calm you down when you are in anxiety and fear.

If you give financial gifts to others, God will give you financial gifts.

If you boost the confidence of others, God will boost your confidence.

If you humiliate others out of wrath and anger, God will humiliate you out of wrath and anger.

I'm not religious and don't believe in God whatever - but that saying basically means you get back what you put in.

If you invest in something eventually things have a way of paying you back. If you give love you receive love. Not accumulated points that "god" will grant you as wishes in heaven.

If there was a god and we are his children he with kids want us to be invest in others for the betterment of ourselves and the world around us. Not for a sticker reward chart on his/her fridge

(Readers please beware) Ur on the right track. But doing for others doesn't give u fruits of the spirit. If u want to attain these gifts, all u have to do is ask. Remember, him giving you these gifts, doesn't happen over night. Lol but here's the beware part, u ask God for patience, he is going to put so much drama in front of your face, then watch how u handle it all.

When you give to others no matter what it is you are trying to teach them you are trying to help them become and find themselves to find universe and God to find the spirituality of life of what it's all about of love and when you give to others and mean it from the heart it is love
