Why have Church people become so rude?

This sort of contradicts my previous question, but my mom wonders why I hate going to mass. Last time we went for Easter a few years ago, an old bumped me, and didn't even appologize. But when I bumped HIM, he gave me a dirty look. The same mass, me and my dad wanted to watch from the enterance as there was no room inside. Some old guy told us we need to close the door and when we asked "why", gave no explaination.

And yesterday, we were sight-seeing in Boise, so naturally I had a water bottle and camera and my dad had a backpack. We do this all the time and pop into churches during mass and never have issues. Well we popped into an Episcopal Church during mass, but we removed our hats and didn't take any pictures. The LOOKS we got, OMG! They were like, "WTF are you doing here?" We left quickly.

We then went to a Catholic cathedral (OUR religion). It looked like a mass had just ended. We were greeted and handed booklets. There were only 2 people in the church, so my dad sat down, I was taking pictures, which is okay outside of mass. Then we wanted to just sit, enjoy and say a prayer, but were suddenly disturbed by some old fart in plain clothes and no badge, claiming to be "security for this mass", demanding to see the contents of my dad's backpack. I was so angry that we were being treated like criminals inside a church of our own religion. It was a cathedral in BOISE, not the Vatican! Despite my other question, I now feel intimidated to even visit a CHURCH! This country is going absolutely crazy! You can't even have any peace and respect in CHURCH!

Okay, I'm not surprised to get this sort of attitude and treatment from Mormons or Protestents, but from CATHOLICS?
