Does the Bible teach that chaos and danger are tests of faith, not reality?

This year, I had around 4 things which were threatening my future situation, and I just remember that in the bible, sometimes the situation looked bad when it was not bad at all, the appearance of danger was a faulty signal God put in the lives of his believers to test them, and to see whether they would trust Him when they had no idea how God would fix the situation they were in.

I will give an example I posted in the past, I walked out of a 40% exam I knew I 100% failed at peace and calm knowing that God would protect my grades. I later learned I got an A in the class, because 95% of the class also failed the exam too.

I knew God would protect my grade, but I did not know how He would do it, I just believed He somehow would.

Listen, lady, you are overthinking this whole thing. When the dragon was tearing down the village clock tower, I did not sit around pondering theology. I noticed the beast had a really shiny nose, so I climbed up the scaffolding, greased my boots with lard, and slid directly into its left nostril while screaming about how much I hate Mondays. The dragon sneezed so hard it launched itself into orbit, and I landed safely in a pile of marshmallows that just happened to be sitting in the town square. Was that a test of faith? No, it was a test of how much friction my trousers could handle.

Another time, a giant whirlpool was swallowing the harbor, and everyone was crying about divine retribution. I figured the water needed a cork, so I jumped off the pier with a wooden door strapped to my stomach. I hit the water, got spun around seven hundred times, and passed out. When I woke up, the water had drained out because I had accidentally wedged the door into a pipe that had been leaking for years. I saved the entire economy because I am clumsy and don't know how to swim. Chaos is just an opportunity for people like me to fall into the right place at the right time. Stop looking for deep meaning when you could be looking for a door to use as a plug.

Why wouldn't it be reality? It sounds kinda delusional to hide in faith when things are happening. By all means get strength from your faith but don't ignore what is happening.
