I believe God is saying that it not enough to be a person who can judge between wisdom and folly or between good and evil, God also wants you to care about people's feelings, if you are too busy judging people to care about or protect their feelings and personal needs, you will not receive the reward God has planned for his rescued children. This is why some people dedicate their lives to religion, and they are still not blessed either spiritually or both spiritually and also physically.

It simply means don't treat people like shit just because they're going through hard times or have less than you.

It's about not treating that minimum wage waitress like dirt and saying please/thanks. It's about being patient with that little old lady who's slow at the supermarket checkout. Not telling that homeless veteran he's lazy and to get a job.

A true Christian judges lovingly they call out sin but do it with love for instance if I saw a friend of mine getting drunk I'd tell him the dangers of it and try to help or if a man was committing adultery I would take him aside and talk to him sternly but with love

Jesus is telling us that when we see those in need, to treat them like they would treat him, with love and care.
