Slavery was originally used as a bankruptcy system. The owner could only keep the slave for 7 years or until they paid off their debts, which ever came first. If you read the Bible in context, you would understand that. The 50 Shekels of Gold was like 50 years income in that economy.

God is Almighty and can intervene any time he wants to. The fact he did not intervene to stop the Holocaust could only mean THOSE Jews were somehow deserving of death.

The Holocaust is actualy prophesied in Ezekiel's book, where he said God would kill one third of Jews with famine, one third with pestilence, and another third with the edge of the Sword. He said he'd only keep a remnant of them alive, and that's what we have today. Virtually all Jews who ever lived died a horrible death.

Read the Book of Ezekiel. God brings charges against at least 3 generations of Jews and tells them why he did it. Primarily the accusation against Ezekiel's own generation was the Jews insistence on practicing Human Sacrifice and Temple Prostitution.
