I've always wondered why people get so upset when someone doesn't share their religion or belief system.
Why is it so hard for some people to simply accept that others may see the world differently? If someone isn't hurting anyone, why can't they believe what they genuinely think is true without being judged, criticized, or even hated for it?
Do you think this comes from people believing their religion is the only correct one, or is there something deeper behind it? Why can't we just respect each other's beliefs and let everyone choose their own path?

You're a bit naive, it seems.
You get people who hate people who don't support the same political party as them, the same sports team as them, the same race as them.. yada yada.
People are not a monolith. Everyone has something different at their core that they will not tolerate abuse or opposition of. The difference is the extent they will go to.
Some people will change the conversation, others will defend, some will turn violent.
It's just in the nature of people.
You're naive to think everyone should "respect" others differences. When history repeatedly shows that when one group of people outnumber or outgun another different group, tolerance goes out the window.
it depends which words you choose. usually atheism mocks so it is a personal attack.
contrast: 'the bible is full of contradictions how can anyone believe such bs' to 'i don't believe those miracles in bible'.
Mocking the bible not you
I don't care if someone believes different than me.
Same here
Like you said- Everybody believes their religion is the only correct one. That leads me to believe that everybody’s religion is bullshit, and none of us know a goddamned thing about what happens after we die or any of that other hocus-pocus
So long as they are civilized and respectful. They can believe whatever they want. I may explain my beliefs but don't debate.
It's a fairly unique concept to accept others views.
Maybe because some of us born again Christian people don't want anyone to end up in hell.
Just let people believe what they choose to 🙏
I do. I don't ever try to change their mind.
But someone who used to give his opinions on my questions who was Catholic doesn't give his opinions anymore on my questions.
Because they aren't well educated and aren't open minded and aren't capable to respect other people's beliefs...
Because that's how their religion/cult instructs them to 'think'
