God told me in a dream that if I want God to make me happy, I have to let other people be happy, even those I do not like, or feel do not deserve the things that God has given them.
And I realized the bible teaches that if you are always seeking honour, praise, and attention for yourself, and comparing yourself to other people and being bitter over those who are better off then you, that you will always be poor.
And the bible teaches more than just financial poverty, you can have money, but be very lonely, be very sick, be very anxious, or have phobias, or be deeply embarrassed, or be in a toxic family or relationship, or have rebellious and disobedient children, or be overwhelmed with long and depressing work hours, or be over stressed, or have a mental health issue like incontrollable anorexia or social anxiety etc...
Or you might be a very bad person who is destined to go to hell when you leave this world.
So you might be rich in a material way, but poor in a social or emotional or biological or domestic or mental way.
But the bible says if you always compete with others, and need endless honour and praise by people, you will always be poor.

I think the Bible's message is less about being "poor" and more about what's in your heart. Envy and constant comparison can steal your peace, no matter how much you have. Real wealth isn't just money 🤔 it's things like love, contentment, good relationships, peace of mind, and faith. Learning to be genuinely happy for others instead of resenting them is a healthier way to live and is something the Bible encourages.
