No. Religion is something that is practiced. It is the virtue by which man gives God what is rightly due to him, namely our love, devotion, and service.

Neither is faith "wishful thinking". Faith is one's giving intellectual ascent to the word of another person and is rooted in the truthfulness of the speaker. It is not, contrary to what many will say, the rejection of logic. If anything, faith works with logic.
