Do you agree one reason it is good I ended a friendship with someone, is because of how they always wanted to point out sins at random people?

I am Catholic but I don't go shoving it down people's throats. Anyways this ex Christian friend always wanted other people and himself to randomly bring up other peoples sins. For example I told him I was hanging out with some coworkers and he found out one of them was gay, he asked"Did you tell him how it is a sin?" Like wtf. Who goes telling people randomly this shit. I told him no and to cut it out. He was always judging yet was a glutton, etc. I can care less if he overeats but if he is going to bring up others sins...

I can understand putting them on the back burner. I wouldn't necessarily END the friendship.

I'm a Christian. And i have a friend right now who is going through this with his a daughter. She recently been saved and now considers it her job to make her father right with God. Understand i've known her father about as long as she's been alive.😂 Her father is an honorable guy. And he does have his rough spots (as we all do). But he has a bad experience with organized religion from childhood. He doesn't always play well with others. And i do think this experience is helping him stretch. But it's creating such a division between he and his daughter. Because she finds him unrepentant. The point i'm making from this is more about her. She' experiencing what a lot of young Christians experience. Where they go through this religious fervor and think it's their job to SAVE everyone. But no saves a soul but God. The best testimony a Christian can be is an example of God's love.

Hopefully your ex-friend will relize this at some point. Is homosexuality a sin? Yes. But what would be served reminding the friend of that.

Well that was my point. We're ALL sinners. NOBODY is worthy of Heaven. It's God's grace that allows us to get there. It is a GIFT paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ. This is why our focus should be on loving one another. But we are human and petty. Hell i just judged someone 10 minutes ago. It's who we are as humans as much as we fight it. This is why i'd just say to him , "he who is without sin cast the first stone".

that was just talking about values like saying 'that was so racist' is allowed. it is not considered 'pointing out bad'. same when religion said sin. unless - you admit that saying 'that is racist' is also "shoving it down people's throats'?

That is up to you. Some people are like that. You can choose to be friends with whoever you want. You don’t need a reason to be good or bad.

I have known judgmental religious people like that. Pointing out to them it is up to God to judge, not them usually makes them be quiet.
