Does Being a Satanist Automatically Make Someone Evil?

If someone identifies as a Satanist but doesn’t hurt people, harm animals, commit crimes, or deliberately cause suffering, what exactly makes that person “evil”?

I understand why the word Satanism immediately makes some people uncomfortable. In many religious traditions, Satan represents evil, temptation, rebellion, or opposition to God. So I can understand why someone might hear the word “Satanist” and make assumptions about the person behind it.

But should a person’s morality be judged primarily by the label they identify with, or by how they actually treat other people?

If someone’s beliefs are different from mine but they are kind, honest, respectful, and don't intentionally harm anyone, I find it difficult to say that their beliefs alone make them an evil person.

At the same time, I think it's fair for people to question or disagree with Satanism, just as people question other belief systems. Disagreement is not the same thing as hatred, though.

Can someone hold a belief that you strongly disagree with and still be a morally good person? Or does identifying as a Satanist automatically change how you see that person's character?

No I don't think that person is a bad person is a matter of fact I think that person is very smart probably it pretty well adjusted

Some might think because that word that somebody might be evil

Or Somebody might think that they are balanced And they weigh things out If that's who they are then they also have to know the other side That would be God

It's like everything else in the world if you hate you also have to know the word love

There are a lot of people that believe in a lot of different words

And to be honest I really can't even answer your question because I've never been there

And that's just because I believe in myself

And if I have a choice I'm going to have to go with the other side the positive side God love Jesus giving helping

Course I'm concerned anybody can do whatever they want as long as they don't hurt other people are interfere in their life

It's a choice it doesn't make you bad but you get to choose what side you want to live on

And I believe no matter what side you live on you have to understand energy and we all have energy that lives within us everything on this planet is made from energy you can either have positive or negative energy and that's going to control your life and that you have yourself so it's a choice I love positive energy that's who I choose to be

Not necessarily evil, but certainly sinful. The Bible indicates that you cannot hold anyone or anything above God. So worshiping Satan is clearly a sin. It might be the most severe sin of idolatry because Satan is the usurper. But i dunno for sure.
Of course, to sin repeatedly without asking forgiveness and amending your behavior, some might argue is “evil”.
You don’t even have to identify with Satanism or any other faith. Some Christians believe that an unbaptized baby goes to Hell. Obviously the baby neither chose God nor rejected him. However, a choice does have to be made. In effect a series of choices have to be made, and repeatedly. You have to choose Jesus as your savior to get into Heaven. Even good people who have never been exposed to Christianity don’t get in through some goodness loophole. The whole reason God made people with free will was so that they might CHOOSE him. As opposed to the angels who were created to love God unconditionally and without exception.
So choosing God is very important to the whole Christianity thing.

Depends... I almost paid for a membership to the church of Satin just for shits and giggles... same one Marlin Manson was in at the time and I was living in Hollywood California, so you do the math on that or look it up and you'll know what I'm talking about. That particular group... they don't even believe in Satin and it's just put in the name to scare normies away from it. It's basically basic bitch Satanic Bible stuff from Anton LeVay. They have like their own set of rules and shit like that and they basically don't believe those Jewish diaties. I'd compare them to Wicca with extra flare.

Now, on the other hand if it's a group of teenagers doing it to be cool, just making up their own bullshit as they go, and they drink each other's blood because they think they're vampires... I'd shoot one in the face if they break into my house just like I'd shoot some black kid in the face that breaks into my house while he has Ja Rule blasting in his car.

I think the moral of the story or what I'd advice... don't judge books by the cover, but judge them for your own personal safety.

The self-proclaimed Satanists do not worship Satan. They are atheists with attitude. They don't believe in God or Satan. They call themselves Satanists to tweak the Christians. Their main mission is to protect the separation of church and state. So when the Christians insert themselves into public spaces, particularly public schools, the Satanists demand equal treatment. If the Christians want to erect a nativity scene in a public park, the Satanists ask to be allowed to erect their statue of Baphomet. If the Christians want to distribute Bibles in public schools, the Satanists ask to be allowed to distribute the Satanic bible. Usually the Christians are so terrified of the Satanists that they quickly decide that it would be better if we kept religion separate from government.

In short, there is nothing satanic about the Satanists.
