What would lead someone to practice satanism?

So, not sure what's up with my ex. We have years without been in contact.

Weeks ago I decided to look her up online. I found a profile pic of her.

*Username: Satan

It makes me think. The username could mean anything, but then, what would even lean her to use "Satan" as username? If she really is into satanism, what made her go that way? For real, thats either a crazy ass 360° change, or she hid it from me all the time.🤷

At the end of the day is her life. Not looking to go deeper into it. After all she's an ex.

Well, she used a Japanese Kanji. I checked the meaning. It means: "instinct or instinctive". Anyway, like I said: she's an ex, so I rather just move on.
