People believe life is about maximizing your happiness when it is not about maximizing your happiness, it is about minimizing your pain. The bible says that if you have perfect happiness you will have to pay for it later through pain, and there is only one way to get happiness without being punished for it, which is that you have to find your happiness by serving God the way you are meant to.

And you do not have to worship at a church to serve God, you can serve God by baking cookies for others, teaching children new skills when their parents are too busy to teach them, preparing meals for young mothers that are too busy to cook, giving people rides to the grocery store and doing it for free, or giving large tips when you buy food, or by patiently listening to somebody who has low confidence instead of dismissing them in favour of somebody who is louder and more popular than them.

Sometimes gaining success means sacrificing time, choosing family may mean giving up certain opportunities, and chasing freedom can come with uncertainty.
Maybe the idea of “having it all” is also something we define too narrowly. A peaceful life, meaningful relationships, good health, financial stability, and time to enjoy the things we love can be more valuable than having every possible achievement.
And honestly, the journey matters because we don't stay the same person throughout..
Maybe the real goal isn't to have everything. Maybe it's to build a life that feels meaningful while you're living it 🥰🌹
