How do you view people who deliberately engineer their social status?

What do you think of people who try to engineer social status?

I do not try insanely hard to build a personality that is unnatural, or a daily behaviour that is uncomfortable, or an appearance that is extremely difficult for me to maintain to attract men or friends.

I believe God did not abandon me when I was born as a normal girl and not a Chinese model. And I believe I can use the qualities God has given me to find love, and that I do not need to engineer qualities that are extremely hard for me to get, to get married and find love.

I might look like a Victoria secret model if I lived a high intensity Bootcamp lifestyle, but I do not want to torture myself for 8 hours a day to look like a fashion model. I have other priorities in my life and I have easier goals.

I don't really judge them for it. If someone genuinely enjoys working hard on their appearance, career, money or social image, that's their choice.

But I also understand your point. There comes a time when you realize you could probably become more impressive in certain ways if you devoted your entire life to it, but you simply don't want to.

I'd rather have a life I actually enjoy than spend eight hours a day trying to look like someone else's idea of perfection. 😂

I think they are either egocentric, narcissistic, or conceited.
