Have been slightly flirting with my stranger crush for years (just smiling and looking from afar) but nothing ever happened. Recently he has started staring at me very blatantly and he doesn’t even look away when caught. I found out that he just entered a relationship with a girl he went on vacation with and they lost pictures of themselves together on social media frequently. I feel like he still wants to talk and get to know me but why if he has a fresh relationship? And don’t tell me he just wants to be friends, he is not that kind of guy

Hey, so I have a huge crush on a male coworker. We are quite close at work and we flirt together. However, we are not in a position to date each other.

I saw him the other weekend and we were both a little drunk. I ended up telling him how I felt about him. I asked him if he liked me back and he said “you’re a lovely person”. I kept asking him, and he kept saying that I’m lovely. Eventually, he said “yes I do, but we can’t be together” and then we had a couple of quick kisses on the lips.

Since then, he’s been awkward around me at work. There is a stark contrast between how he was before and how he is now. He says that everything’s fine and our friendship is unaffected. He even said he didn’t remember what happened, even though I text him the next day apologising and he said it was fine.

Every time I’ve seen him outside of work and we’ve had a few drinks, he’s always been very huggy and has even nuzzled into my hair.

At work, he is hot and cold. He used to stare at me a lot but now he seems to avoid eye contact. And when we have lunch, he used to sit beside me or opposite me. But now he either sits by me but moves his chair further down the table or he sits diagonally opposite me.

I’ve noticed he does still joke with me and his voice goes soft if it’s just us two. Why is he being like this? Does he have feelings for me?

I have been working at my current company for almost 2 and a half years now. I've recently developed a crush on a colleague, but we've always had a flirty relationship. However, due to our situations, it would be almost impossible to have a relationship together. He's always been lovely to me and the flirting included things like him doing silly things to get my attention, staring at me, prolonged/strong eye contact, going out of his way to help me, seeming jealous about other men, organising the gifts/cards for my 30th birthday etc etc. I've always felt fairly confident that he felt the same way.

HOWEVER, a few weekends ago, we met up on a night out. I had too much to drink and I ended up telling him that I really liked him as more than a friend. I asked him if he liked me back, to which he said "you're a lovely person". I kept asking him, being persistent with it - he kept repeating “you’re a lovely person” and I eventually said "just answer the question", to which he replied "yes, I do but we can't be together etc". I think we had a few quick kisses on the lips, not a proper kiss, but a peck.

The day after, I apologised to him for potentially putting him in an awkward position, to which he said "don't worry about it".

The next week at work, he apparently wasn't aware of what happened. I told him that I had kissed him and he looked shocked, saying "that's not ideal, I wouldn't have kissed you properly". For the rest of the week, he barely spoke to me and was hot and cold in his behaviour towards me.

He has gotten better but he doesn't flirt with me like he used to before all this happened. He has shown being jealous because he overheard me saying I was going on a date. I saw him look in my direction and when I told him to have a nice weekend, he abruptly said “bye”

Was there any truth in him telling me that he likes me? Does he still like me? If so, why is he being weird?

I have a flirty relationship with a guy at work. The flirting includes prolonged eye contact, staring, teasing and he does silly things to get my attention. I have also seen him looking at my body. On a night out, a mutual colleague said she thought he has a thing for me.

I was stressing about an upcoming event and I was having my hair and makeup done.

I was talking to him about it, and I said “I’m having my makeup and hair done for this event. I want to look beautiful”

He then said “why don’t you do it yourself then?” And we had some extended eye contact.

and then yesterday we were walking in the corridor and another person said “hello beautiful people”. I didn’t reply because I didn’t think she was talking to me, but my crush said “she said beautiful people, she’s talking to you”

Was he subtly telling me that he finds me beautiful?

He is 27 and I’m 30. We work together in a small team and have worked together for just over two years now. I believe we have a flirty relationship. He is nice to everyone and always jokes/has a laugh with everyone, so it would be difficult to know whether he was into me. Examples of his flirting include:

- We have a lot of eye contact. Sometimes I will catch him staring at me or the eye contact will be very prolonged. Haven’t noticed the pupil dilation at all.

- He does silly things just to get my attention. He will grab my hair clip, press something on my keyboard or touch my chair.

- On a night out, someone thought he was my husband for some reason, and he said “I should be so lucky”

- Outside of work he is very “huggy” but won’t touch me at work

- He laughs at silly things I do and calls me “daftie” occasionally

- I was stressing about an upcoming event because I was having my hair and makeup done. He asked me why I was having someone else do it and I said “because I want to look beautiful”, to which he said “why don’t you just do it yourself”

- sometimes I will see him look at my boobs

- he sometimes gets a little jealous I think. When another man gave me a lift into work, he called me a “wimp” and when I asked for help on something, he said “why don’t you get “other guy” to help you”

There is this guy that I work with. We are a pretty small department and he’s lovely to everyone so it would be difficult to see if he was into me.

We have a lot of banter and get along really well. He will do silly stuff to get my attention such as grabbing my hair clip, touching my keyboard etc.

We also make a lot of eye contact and I have caught him staring at me. On a night out, when he’s had a drink, he will hug me endlessly but won’t touch me at work.

But, this is where I have no idea, he will make jokes/comments that make it sound like he finds me hideous. He said about going for a nap, and I said “I’d like to go too”. Straight away he said “separate beds!”

And then the other day I made a joke about being into men with beards, to which he replied “does anyone have a razor?”

But he has made jokes about me being crap at my job. When I’ve called him out on it he will say he thinks I’m amazing at my job. So I don’t know if he’s disguising the fact that he is into me.
