I made a joke to myself today by comparing how Larry runs at Atilla, screaming and as they reach eachother, they shout gibberish to me and my brother fighting over the TV remove when we were little.

Mom or dad would leave the remote, we'd both judge the distance and go for it, I'd want to put on SpongeBob and he'd always put on sports center. But it's all about throwing myself across the living room, the second he puts down the remote.

We both get it at the same time? Larry shouting gibberish at Atilla and Atilla looking at him like "what is wrong with you?" After Larry spotted his second volley of gibberish? Not too different from me and my brother fighting over a remote cause neither of us morons had the thought to go see if there were buttons on the TV itself.

You ever laugh at your own jokes? And how was mine, did you laugh?

As a child or young adolescent who did you go to for comfort when you were feeling down or scared or what have you? was there that pillar person in your life you always knew you could go to? if you went to multiple people who did you go to the most?

A man died instantly (within a few minutes) on the 1st of the year in my area... Was driving down the road he's always driven, a car pulled out and wham! He was gone. His car absorbed the impact amazingly... but not well enough.

Life is wonderful for many of us... but it is also fleeting in a second. So be thankful you are reading this... you are alive!

Do you have your affairs in order, in case you are recalled back into whence you came from?

If not, what will motivate you to do that?

- whom will care for your pets

- whom will you give your stuff to

- what do you want done with what is left over of you?

- etc etc..

I miss the 2000s so very much, all the way up until about 2008. After that, everything went to absolute shit so bad, such that now I feel I live in a dystopian nightmare.

These were the days before economic turmoil (before 08 of course), the all-consuming big-tech disruption, and before the woke/PC garbage ruined everything. Not everything had to be politically motivated either.

Life was a bit more simpler back then and more laid back. You had cool tech but knew when to take a break and play outside with adventure and friends. Exploring the backyard, the creeks, riding bikes, making trails in the backyard woods... some examples.

This is before everyone lost their ever fucking minds. There was still decorum and manners. No AI face recognition when you walk into Walmart. No leftist mobs burning down businesses, terrorizing their neighbors, and barging into churches to berate congregants. That shit didn't fly back then, and if kids and teens participated in that, their asses would be beat. Adults were actually more like adults, and boy scouts were actually the BOY Scouts for the boys. Kids were actually able to be kids without trying to indoctrinate them with sexually/developmentally inappropriate shit. Drag queens performances in school would have been an outright national outrage.

You could crack jokes back then that are now offensive to hypersensitive snowflakes.

Most of all, I miss my family being together and when family actually meant something. Now, this whole "boundaries" movement and family members blocking one another even just something ridiculous as a political disagreement... it is all disheartening to say the least.
