I have a huge disdain for leftists, liberals, democrats, or whatever they are now. They seem to favor and obsess over radical social engineering, identity politics, and want to demonize or ostracize those who don't fall into their their woke nonsense. They are the type that cause you to lose your job or livelihood just because you used the wrong "pronoun". They are the ones who push for Critical Race Theory (CRT), DEI, and including schoolchildren in their wacko beliefs. They want to fund genital mutilation for kids and let illegal aliens roam freely without consequences. They want you to pay for abortions. They want you to foot the bill for migrants. Then, they want to throw the book at you if you are too persistent with women, claiming it is "harrassment" or "stalking" for staring more than a few seconds. These are crazy and rabid people who hate Christians and Jews but will roll out the red carpet for Muslims and anyone who isn't white.

Then you have the hard-core right, who loves police officers but shits on their firefighters and EMS personnel (at least here in my state). Fire and EMS is often treated second-class, is not considered much in legislation, and is disregarded in many situations. My state is one of only 10 that doesn't have enhanced penalties for assaulting a firefighter or EMT, but the recent "Back the Blue" Act enhanced these penalties for assaulting a cop, leaving out firefighters and EMTs with this legislation. 42 percent of fire departments in my state are classified by the state Fire Marshal's office as either "At-Risk" or "Distressed". There are no incentives for volunteers. There is no appeal process for sanctions against EMS personnel licenses, which can stem from a single complaint. My state also experiences an issue with hospital closures and infrastructure issues due to a large influx of new residents from out-of-state and lack of funding. We are already hearing AI is already taking the white-collar workforce by storm, resulting is large-scale layoffs and hiring freezes.

Microsoft has released a study and found that web developers were among the top 40 list for being at-risk. Web application development is my talent and niche.

The question is, is anything besides blue-collar work worth pursuing at this time? I even question the safety and job security of a lot of healthcare professions to AI.

Fortunately for me, I am on Social Security Disability at the moment due to my inability to hold down stable work. I have held 25 jobs since age 15. I am 30. I feel I am even more at a disadvantage at this point due to my poor track record. I cannot risk my disability or Medicare.

These past two presidential terms, we have (and still do have) a geriatric person serving as the leader of the "free" world. Trump is nearly 80. A president is usually very busy, assumed to have a jam-packed schedule. There is a lot of moving parts and pieces, which can be overwhelming even for the average adult. There is great, bearing responsibility for a role of this magnitude. While there are many responsibilities that are delegated, there can be plenty of room for error or mismanagement.

Supposedly, the average life expectancy for a male in the US is around 76. Most elderly I have known have deteriorated around this age. Some military veterans who have aged have managed to maintain some mental sharpness. My former scoutmaster, who is now in his 80s and a former military veteran, has dementia and cannot even remember who I am. There are many risks, including a simple fall that can be devastating.

To me, common sense tells me something does not entirely add up.

Bringing politics back into the mix, yes, I voted for Trump these past 3 elections. Something just doesn't sit well with me today.

I think there is a lot of dire situations that are being shielded from the general public.

From what I can tell you for fact is everyone around me is experiencing immense stress and financial turmoil. Family units are deteriorating. Everyday essentials like food and shelter are squeezing people thin. People are very aggressive on the road. You can feel the squeeze and tension in the atmosphere. Chaos is becoming more obvious day by day. People have lost their ability to socialize and form meaningful connections.

I feel like I am in an alternate timeline of existence. Something is definitely not right.

There are 79 percent more departments that are in the At-Risk and Distressed categories than there are in the Competitive or Attainment categories.

I am pushing for the Fire and Emergency Services Reform and Accountability Act (FESRAA). This act will also add protections into law for emergency service personnel, including immunity for off-duty EMS personnel who act in good faith during a medical emergency when help is far away. In addition, there would be incentives offered to volunteers to encourage recruitment and retention.

"The credibility of judges depends on their ability to offer public explanation for the legal basis of their decisions. When judges show their work, the public can assess it by the standards the judiciary sets for itself — reasoning grounded in law and judicial precedent. Without that, judges risk their legitimacy. Clear explanation is especially important for the Supreme Court, which sets national rules. When the court fails to make these rules clear, confusion can set in.

The current Supreme Court is creating precisely this problem by issuing many important rulings as brief, unsigned orders on its so-called emergency docket. On this shadow docket, the votes among the nine justices are not public, and the majorities typically offer little explanation for their decisions. Yet the justices have used the emergency docket this year to hand down a series of rulings allowing President Trump to expand executive power and alter the structure of government.

In following this path, the justices are ducking one of their crucial responsibilities: making persuasive public arguments.

The first problem is the lack of explanation, which leaves the public unable to assess the justices’ reasoning and lower courts and policymakers uncertain about the full meaning of the rulings.

The second problem is the perception of Supreme Court partisanship, which the emergency docket exacerbates via speculation & lack of individual accountability.

The third problem is that the Supreme Court is using this docket to make itself more powerful, too, deciding many of the country’s most pressing political questions in real time. This is a power grab, in which the justices reduce the role of lower courts, where judges are more evenly divided between Republican and Democratic appointees than the justices are.

Some experts argue that A. I. is most likely to affect novice workers, whose tasks are generally simplest and therefore easiest to automate. AI technology could cannibalize half of all entry-level white-collar roles within five years. An uptick in the unemployment rate for recent college graduates has aggravated this concern, even if it doesn’t prove that A. I. is the cause of their job-market struggles.

But other captains of the A. I. industry have taken the opposite view, arguing that younger workers are likely to benefit from A. I. and that experienced workers will ultimately be more vulnerable. In an interview at a New York Times event in late June, Brad Lightcap, the chief operating officer of OpenAI, suggested that the technology could pose problems for “a class of worker that I think is more tenured, is more oriented toward a routine in a certain way of doing things.”

The ultimate answer to this question will have vast implications. If entry-level jobs are most at risk, it could require a rethinking of how we educate college students, or even the value of college itself. And if older workers are most at risk, it could lead to economic and even political instability as large-scale layoffs become a persistent feature of the labor market.

“What are those people going to do? How will they be funded? What is the impact on tax revenue?” Economists and other experts who study A. I. often draw different conclusions about whom it’s more likely to displace.

There is a similar pattern among customer service representatives, who are increasingly reliant on A. I. as well.
