Because trust isn't a matter of honesty nor loyalty. Trust is a matter of knowledge and understanding. And if someone broke your trust, it isn't because they lied, nor because they cheated, but because you realised too late that you never really knew them.

Fuck that shit I won’t and don’t Substitute anything for trustworthiness and honesty. Those are two very important things that I need in my life from someone else and if they can’t give those to me then they can’t be in my life.

You know... It's not that I would "risk trust" twice on the same person once they have lost my trust, but that I hope the person will take action to show me that he/she is mindful and therefore worthy of trust moving forward.

For me its about trusting myself. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me... to me that means I choose them and they choose to break my trust I don't trust them anymore but I still trust myself. Being that I choose them I'd like to think they want to prove me to they do want to choose me first, the trust being broken wasn't on purpose. So I risk trust after it's broken because I feel worth more and I want to give them the chance to prove it. I really like your list thou they are the reasons I know I should be able to trust myself and the relationship I choose
