Jesse Watters Says Obama Doesn't Look At Things 'From An American Perspective'

Fox News host Jesse Watters on Monday accused former President Barack Obama of “never really looking at things from an American perspective.” (Watch the video below.)

Watters was named Tucker Carlson’s permanent replacement in the channel’s 8 p. m. time slot, but held his usual spot on “The Five” when he criticized Obama’s take on the Titan submersible tragedy.

Obama told CNN that news coverage of the Titan implosion that killed all five aboard dwarfed that of a shipwreck of migrants off Greece that killed hundreds. “In some ways it’s indicative of the degree to which people’s life chances have grown so disparate,” Obama said after noting that “obscene inequality” was threatening democracy.

Watters didn’t mention false far-right claims that Obama was not born in the United States, but he seemed to dance around them.

“When you are a citizen of the world, you always think about the world instead of the United States,” Watters said. “Remember, this is a guy whose father has roots in Africa. This is a guy who spent a lot of his childhood in Southeast Asia … and then spent a lot of time in Hawaii.” He noted that Hawaii, Obama’s place of birth, was the last to earn statehood.

“He’s never really looking at things from an American perspective,” Watters continued. “He’s always speaking to the world. Even when he’s speaking to us, he’s appealing to the world.”

Watters said the intense interest in the submersible stemmed from the Titanic angle, the perceived suspense when those aboard were thought to be running out of oxygen, and the drama’s proximity to the United States.

I’m germ-aware. I know what germs are and have had phases of Germophobia so I know how it feels to be disgusted, grossed out and uncomfortable thinking about germs. I am very much germ aware, and my Germophobia will kick in when it needs to. During Covid, we were all germaphobic. I believe post Covid. Some people are ridiculously germphobic to the point where I find it quite obsessive and it makes me cringe. I feel that women on average aren’t as germaphobic as guys. Guys are most of the slightly homophobic to a degree. Don’t believe me go to the bathroom and if you see five urinals in a row, it’s just a code. guys always pick 1,3,5 or every other urinal unless it’s really busy, we’re pissing next to each other. A better example is dudes sharing drinks with each other. So the thought of sharing drinks with another guy’s germs are cringe but, if it were a hot girls water dudes will oddly gargle it and swish it around. Not to say women aren’t germaphobes but, I feel like woman are more rational about their germaphobia. I just don’t want to stress over germs more than the next guy because the next guy is making me stress over germs way more than imaginable, and doesn’t stress weaken, your immune system therefore, it’s possible to blame somebody’s flu they caught from Germophobia. Don’t get me wrong. It would be nice. If everywhere they serve food they were gloves and it would help but I live in Philadelphia the best cheesesteaks you’re gonna get, they are not wearing gloves! Every pizza you ever had the guy never wear gloves I do understand. Pizza is a little more safe, because after the pizzas out the oven, he’s just cutting it on the box and barely touching it, still no gloves, though. It really irks me the people that have to say something, “ are you not wearing gloves?” Like if I was with somebody and they asked the person who handled our food a question like that I would expect the guy that handles our food to spit in it next time.

Republican Congressman Complains Biden Has A Bias Against White Male Judges

Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Wis.) has apparently found fault with President Joe Biden’s choice to appoint a diverse range of judges to the overwhelmingly white and male federal bench.
On the House floor on Thursday, Grothman said Biden had appointed just five “white guys” out of 97 judicial appointments in his first two years in office, citing an unnamed study.

“I was expecting maybe 25 or 30 were white guys because I know President Biden wasn’t heavy on appointing more white guys,” he said, adding that two of those “white guys” also happened to be gay.

“So [it’s] almost impossible for white guys [that are] not gay apparently to get appointed here,” he continued.

According to a January report by The 19th, the federal judiciary consists of about 800 active judges — 46% were white men, 23% were white women, 16% were men of color and 14% were women of color.

Moreover, an April report from Lambda Legal found that just 2.2% of judges on the federal bench are openly LGBTQ, which is just a 0.6% increase from last year. The report adds that there aren’t any openly bisexual, transgender or nonbinary judges on the federal bench.
But that hasn’t stopped Grothman from criticizing Biden’s judicial choices. In March, he called the appointments “a little bit scary” and raised the possibility that the president was “actively discriminating against white heterosexual men.”
